By summer you mean, summer where you are, because when its summer in the Northern hemisphere, its winter down here in the Southern. That's why is it best to travel to New Zealand in the northern winter, Christmas in 90 odd Fahrenheit with no snow.

SAS had a great sale for tickets to Europe summer 2023 back in October and November...$600 including the lugguge was a great price...I bought a United ticket in January to travel to Germany in July and the prices already went up...I heard from a travel agent that Lufthansa was planning a sale in January but it did not happen...if you are planning a trip this summer to Europe I would not wait....

Summer tickets, especially on weekends, tend to start higher and not come down later in my experience. Buy those ones as early as you can. They specifically seem to go up right before Christmas and again at the end of January. If the day you travel on doesn't matter as much and you can fly on Tuesday or Wednesday, those ones I think you can wait until 3 months out to book.
