Our Rich Journey – Why I Quit My Job and Retired at 39 | A Visual Poem - It's been two years since Christina and I reached financial independence, quit our jobs, and retired early. In looking back on these two years, I have to say: It's been everything we hoped it would be . . . and more! And so we made this video JUST FOR YOU! This is unlike any other video we've ever done. In fact, it's a poem I wrote (along with visuals!) to express why I quit my job and retired at 39. I hope it will inspire and motivate you to pursue your FIRE goals so that one day, you can take your 40 hours of work back from your employer . . . and do whatever it is that you want to do, too!

Probably the most profound video, I’ve ever watched on you tube. I’m in that boat right now. I could’ve walked away from the workforce at 38 but stayed for 10 additional years, out of fear of the unknown, and institutionalized thinking.
