I eat one tablespoon of chia seeds every morning. My c- reactive protein was <0.4 in the past two years.

I am glad I saw this video. I was using chia few years ago, and I always felt sicker. I was all in pain. My joints were hurting. Nobody believed me. Anyways I stopped using them, but sometimes I thought it was all in my head. Now I have proof that chia is inflammatory. Same thing happened with quinoa.

You have finally convinced me to stop wasting my time listening to experts tout this and that only to reverse course. I feel better already. I don't care what the next 'super-seed' is. It really looks like the health doctors and influencers are grifters of a sort. I think you all started out with good intentions but once the money started flowing...well, we all know the rest.

Oh I've been eating two tablespoons of chia seed per day to add fiber to my diet and help with cholestrol and also add a good whack of calories in a small amount of food because I strugggle to eat enough. Think I will swap them out for basil seeds.. I don't often change my mind based on a youtube video but why not cut out the lectins where I easily can. An obvious switch which I would never have been aware of. Thank you.

OK, so think that chia seeds swelled in grass-fed milk or coconut milk is better for you than a donuts or 2, or cookies and milk, or French fries and a shake.

I do put basil and hemp seeds into my unsweetened goat or coconut yogurt. Along with some walnuts makes a refreshing meal in the summer time.

What about sprouting chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds? Does sprouting get rid of the lectins given the lectins are mostly in the coat of the seed?

My primary care dr, suspects I might have prostate cancer and I am schedule to see an oncologist in 7-10 days. Anyway since dr Grundy’s post is about chia seeds raising inflammation markers, I threw in the cancer part because we all know that inflammation drives diseases. Ok then, 2 nights ago I decided to eat a dinner consisting of scrambled eggs loaded with onions, some hard cheddar cheese and sprinkled with fresh raw garlic. Along side I had some sautéed Brussels sprouts and tomatoes drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. It was delicious and calming. This was my type of keto meal which good fats are key. Well, I had made enough for a couple meals so I decided to have the exact same meal for breakfast the next morning. But now, I wanted to boost my good fat (omega 3) and sprinkled my eggs with organic chia seeds. 40 minutes after eating, I got a burning sensation all over. Today is July 17, 2024, 3 days later and I awakened and started wondering why I had such a terrible reaction and knew what I was feeling was increased inflammation. So I began thinking, maybe the chia seeds had omega 6 in them but after researching, learned they didn’t contain any omega 6. Yet somehow I knew the culprit had to be the chia seeds which only had omega 3. Lo and behold, I stumbled upon this video by dr Grundy, now it all became clear. (1) inflammation is a key cause of diseases and cancer goes to and creates inflammation so basically those darn chia seeds only raised my inflammation markers sky high. Now, I’ve watched plenty of videos proclaiming how good chia seeds are with its omega 3 but they never said anything about the fact they can raise inflammation markers and when you gave cancer or suspect you might have it, the very last thing you want to do is help your cancer grow by raising your inflammation markers. I have a bulk bag of chia seeds and they are headed for the trash bin. For those of you confused by the controversy created by one dr saying in thing snd the next saying something else, hear this., I’ve just experienced what dr Grundy has said so I know he’s got the right version of the truth about the seeds and just to make sure, I make the same meal this morning, left out the chia seeds and have had no burning at all anywhere.

Peace be upon you.

I had been suffering from loose motion for four years. I got many tests done, but there came a time when even the medicine stopped working.

I had an autoimmune disorder. A doctor friend of America mine told me that there is a treatment for this disease.

However, I was not hopeless. Then I came across your video on YouTube. I focused on it, understood the logic over a week, Dr. Shawn Baker, Dr. Jason Fung, and especially you❤️👈🏻.

I switched to the carnivore diet. On the very first day, I stopped all medicines.

Now I am in my fifth month, feeling very good, and taking supplements as well: magnesium citrate, D3, K2, and potassium citrate.

I am much better because of your efforts. Age has also reversed; I feel like a young man. I have stopped all anxiety and depression medicines except for one, Lexotonal, which might also gradually be stopped.

I just used chia seeds the day before yesterday, but my condition deteriorated today. I listened to your lecture today. I was really confused about what caused it.

I am very grateful to you.

May Allah, the Lord of all worlds, grant you happiness in both worlds.

I changed from chia seeds to basil seeds after seeing a previous video!! The basil seeds don’t plump up as easily as chia but why eat something that is inflammatory and puts on weight when you’re trying to lose weight??

Calcium cancels out oxalate. Which would mean basil seeds have 1030mg per gram, if dbl Chia at 515mg calcium per. And dbl the fiber, potassium.. . Would help fight off the high oxalate pomegranate juice I put it in.
Dunno, have to research. Always an angle, lol. 😊
