Its not so wise to quit when you don't have a good retirement plan yet

Oh, we are quitting. Just in a way that allows us to keep our jobs. I do the bare minimum, enough to complete things that show I'm working, and ignoring things that don't need to be done. I show up, I do enough, I watch YouTube, I go home. The CEO of the corporation I work for got a 2 million dollar bonus. No one in my office got anything.

It’s just sad how everything has reverted back….executives doubling down on what doesn’t work all in the name of control and greed.

if you have a job, I implore you, to keep that job at all costs. The job you have is real, the postings on indeed aren't.

'rage applying' makes me laugh. what a term.

I have been searching for a year now. Made it to several interviews and even final interviews, but no job offers. This is the worst job market in my lifetime. I am hoping 2025 is better. It's really hard guys. I wish the best for all of you job seekers....

Early 20s Me: "I don't need this job, F-U I quit!"
40s Me: "I ain't going nowhere until I have something solid lined up."

I’m getting sick of seeing Entry Level right next to 10+ required skills or experience.

"The Great Resignation", for the most part, was mislabeled based on a misquotation of a report. The study asked IF you would leave your current job for a increased salary, better work conditions, better benefits, etc. It got reported that people WERE going to leave their jobs. That's where the panic came from. But the pandemic did expose how expendable people were in certain industries and some folks changed jobs. You do have to ask though did people quit their job because they saw the writing on the wall that their were going to be laid-off. Regardless, the job market has been a mess over the last five years.

Inflation is making people stay put because we can’t afford things we used to before. Food is high, Rent is high! 😂

When I heard the term “rage applying”, it was so funny to me. First time I’m hearing it, and it makes sense to me - but the image in my head is of a pissed off person going “that’s IT, I’m getting EMPLOYED” - applies to 300 positions in one sitting

In the last two to three months I had four job offers. Three right after the first interview. 🤷🏼‍♂️ And I gave my last company a notice without having a new job. So companies are still searching. Don‘t be afraid!

We just had hundreds laid off from John Deere locally I got my notice 2 weeks before everyone else, in this job market it sucks trying to find anything that isnt entry level, part time, and upper level management jobs.

Thankfully I have enough management experience to have bounced into a new job in 2 weeks flat. But for everyone else who doesnt have the same experience as I do I feel really bad for them. All the good opportunites have dried up.

Looking for a job is brutal. I think I'll stay where I'm at, thanks. It's not a bad job, I'm wanted and needed there, and the only reason the money sucks is inflation, shrinkflation, and greedflation.

I’m depressed. I am in a toxic workplace and have desperately been trying to find a way out, but it’s like all the exit lights are going dim and doors are closing before I can even reach them. The tech job market right now is horrible. I might even need to consider a pay cut or taking contract work at this point, to save my sanity

All I knew when I was a kid in the 90s working in an office cublicle looked terrifying.😱

Being stuck and unhappy and having a mean person yell at you in a suit. No. Just no.

I just landed a full time job in June after having my position eliminated at the end of February. I am so thankful that I was able to land this great role, because two big companies in the area just laid off a whole lot of people. The company I used to work for just made a big change, and I foresee a crap ton of layoffs coming soon there too.
