Hello. I’ve been a pharmacist for 15 years and have watched people become gradually more sick over the years….. on tons of meds for blood sugar, blood pressure, and elevated ldl cholesterol. What’s interesting is that over my practice years I would periodically see someone lose significant weight or even reduce or completely eliminate medications from their medicine cabinet. Every time this happened I would talk with the patient asking them what they had done to achieve this amazing success. They would outline a diet high in protein and eliminating things that would raise their blood sugar. What they were describing was a ketogenic diet! It was my training that told them that they were making a mistake omitting carbs and using good fats from their diet. My training was always to have low-fat or non fat as my first recommendation. Now that I have actually brushed the dust off my biochemistry books and really think about what was driving the push for grains and processed foods to be the staple in our diet (money for massive food corporations) I feel like the wool has been pulled from my eyes. In my personal life, my pre-diabetes has self corrected, I have become far more alert and much less sluggish, and have lost 15 lbs in 3 months. I have openly admitted to patients and my own family that I was wrong about my diet advice (not easy to do). It’s not every day you have an awakening to a lie that has been fed (pun intended) to you since birth. Kudos for a member of the medical community to take such a bold stand against the status quo and fight for people’s health. I’m a firm supporter in your channel and what you teach.

I just started the keto diet 6 days ago. My blood sugars were 200. Now they are 84. Thank you for helping all of us.

At 77 years young, I've stopped all meds for asthma, cholesterol and sleeping pills. Wish I had started this lifestyle 30 years ago. AND we now eat more delicious food than ever. Lots of butter, full cream sauces and MCT oil in our coffee. We ride bikes, hike and swim. Thanks for your excellent videos, Dr Berry.

My mother started a ketogenic diet a couple of months ago as recommended by her physician and I watched her practically disappear before my very eyes. She is now drowning in the clothing that used to fit her, and she seems generally much healthier and more vital than I have seen her in many years. Because of your YouTube channel and others like it, certain prayers of mine for her health are being answered. I am going to be following her example paired with the guidance you offer to make some of my own healthy lifestyle changes. I want to sincerely thank you for what you do.

I’ve lost 35lbs so far just eating meats, vegetables and drinking water. I cut my carb intake to less than 20mg a day and stopped with the sugar all together. What a difference!!

I took my bad vegetable oils and put them with my emergency prepping items to use as lamp oil. I took my huge tub of Crisco shortening and made some candles out of the shortening. I put those in the emergency prepping area too.

30 years i'd been diabetic, 7 months ago it shoot to 500 gluco reading; after doing keto and weight lifting, I have to give up my diabetic medication cuz of normal sugar, and I become muscular too, look good at age 65

You are the main reason I have been able to make this work. I respect the fact that you never try to sell products that you say we have to have to make this work. We started 2.5 weeks ago and my husband went to the Dr yesterday. He's down 15 lbs. How I convinced him to give up the cola I may never know, but seeing the results, I think he may stick with it. I am 68, athletic, and not obese, but have always struggled with controlling my weight. I'm working on about 35 lbs to get to 185 lbs and have been on strict keto for one month. I'm cooking all my own food and eating nothing with an ingredients list. The most amazing thing has happened. I have been on blood pressure medication for my entire adult life. I am now off my medication with a normal blood pressure for the first time since I was a teenager, and this is after only a month. Also, chronic swelling and inflammation in my left leg has been eliminated. Thanks Doc.

Your videos have changed my life Dr. Berry. Started keto before week before Thanksgiving. As of now, have dropped 55 pounds. Off blood pressure meds, no more gout attacks. Thank you for a level of health I haven't had since my 40's (I'm 63 now.)

I started Keto 4 wks ago and lost 25 thought I could get away with eating a bowl of ice cream. WOW, what an eye opener! I had headaches, couldn't sleep that night, the next day it was much harder for me to walk because knees and ankles hurt, and actually put on a couple pounds, aside from just feeling plain lousy. NOW I KNOW!!! I'm back on track now and LOVE the way I feel!. Thank you Keto and Dr. Berry....I listen to your videos over and over, they are my support group!

I'm two weeks in with my first try on KETO. A friend recommended you and Dr Berry. I can't believe how amazing i feel already! Not losing weight fast, but in ketosis and it's not that hard. Preparation is key. I have lost 150 pounds TWICE in my life and gained it back (once with surgery). I feel like I can conquer the world on this plan. I'm forever grateful for these videos. Tears of happiness right here!

I lost 15 lbs keto and IF, and it hasn't even been two weeks. I'm sure it may slow down, but dang that's a heck of a kick start. I'm not hungry all the time.

Dr. Berry, I can concur with everything you said. I started Keto May 1st after watching your videos and I am now down 33 pounds, I am off of all prescribed acid reflux meds, I use AC vinegar in the mornings and fast around 16-18 hours a day and never get hungry to speak full of energy!!! Thanks Doc..

Love your channel so far, I just started Keto a few days ago. I had keto flew real bad for a day but am over it now. Already I am noticing that my appetite is naturally suppressed and can see this working for weight loss. Can't wait to see how I feel in a few weeks/months out
