A few changes you can start to implement today are:
Eating a low-carb, high-fat diet that’s also rich with fiber from colorful veggies.
Moving daily. Even just walking for 10 minutes makes a difference!
Managing your stress through journaling, meditating, deep breathing, etc.
Getting good quality sleep every night.
Avoiding food 2-3 hours before bed.
Intermittent fasting—even just a 12-hour window can be helpful such as dinner to breakfast.

I was a T2D and was on the allopathic, pharmaceutical path of “maintaining” the problem 🙄 Until I came across a video of a doctor talking about reversing T2D with the Ketogenic diet (he also referred to it as “The Proper Human Diet”). I jumped into it right away. Within 3 months and NO medications my A1C was 5.1. I added in Intermittent fasting and some prolonged fasting over the last 3 years. My last couple A1C’s were 4.4 and I’ve lost a total of 50 pounds. I really don’t miss the carbs. That stupid “Food Pyramid” is wrong, the carbs should be on the top and fats on the bottom! Just make sure you stay away from the seed oils (Omega 6)

Diabetic here. Trying more carnivore in the keto spectrum. Learning a lot about it here Dr Berry Dr Chafee etc. nothing really working well for me. I gotta get off these fattening meds!

Yes, a low calorie diet can help also with consuming no added sugar and a low carb diet and with walking, calisthenics or other regular exercise.

The problem with this is when you try to get back some of that carbs you will feel like shit and won’t do it because you will have clear signals from your body “don’t eat that shit”

A1C went from 9.6 to 5.1 in 2 months on keto. Doctor was shocked. Question now is, can I start eating carbs (in moderation) now? Full time grappler. Carbs just fuel me better for training but I’m scared of A1C going up again.

Diet doesn’t matter as long as it’s whole foods that you eat and you do intermittent fasting for 18 hours to 6 hours ratio. I’m proof of this… I reversed type 2 eating as much fruits and vegetables as I wanted and fish/steak once a week. The low fat diet reversed the fatty liver and fatty pancreas. The intermittent fasting put me into ketosis for 16 of the 18 hours even though I ate a high carb diet.
