Making a PERFECT 10 Kilogram Gold Bar

After PRIME melted their solid gold bottles into a crucible of virtually worthless metal, we had to take it upon ourselves to turn it into a gold bar, 10 kilogram gold bar that we could liquidate into cash. Best, believe, we had to make it perfect. Here's what it looks like inside the room where a perfect gold bar gets made.

*TIP* - use a torch to heat the mold before pouring. Also use the torch to flame the spout or point where it pours. Constant heat helps it flow and form smoother and easier.

The gold is hot enough but the mold isn’t anywhere near hot enough. they don’t even have a torch on it. Should have one torch on the end of the mold and have another right where the gold is gonna pour in. That is super impressive and would be awesome to hold in your hands.

There's zinc impurities in that gold, you can tell because it's bubbling a bit and giving off white fumes. That's also probably why you had casting problems on the first pour.

just a question. why is the mold also not red hot? that should help with the metal
assuming the mold wont make the gold stick to it when hardening the gold should just be melted in the mold itself. you might have to break the mold in to pieces but at least you would get a beautiful perfect gold bar.

You have to heat your mold as well to stop the gold from coming in contact with a cold mold. Both should be heated simultaneously. I've done plenty of silver and it is the same way.
