One thing I learned was make your bed every morning which will help fight depression and oppression. Also, I find great joy in going to church, meeting friends there and serving. By giving to others you get yourself off yourself and the focus is what can I do for someone else to make their day better.

As soon as you said “unfollow people who make you feel bad, even if it’s me” that’s a really empathetic human who put the well being of others before her following and personal gain. Keep it up girl!

So many great ideas! I would like to add one. I get up and read the bible for about 15 minutes every morning. It gives me peace and hope.

Thank you for your honesty & being real. You’re so right there is so much fakeness & negativity out there. I actually deleted my Facebook 7 years ago, I just couldn’t handle all of the drama and negativity anymore & I actually haven’t missed it at all. You are a beautiful person inside and out & I absolutely love your videos.

I also live by the motto....I own my phone, it doesn't own me. I don't carry it around with me. It has a spot on the table it sits at home, and it stays in my purse if I'm out of the house. And I turn it off every night at 9 pm. I want to focus on my life around me, and not be ruled by a little black box. My mom and kids have special ring tones in case it's an emergency, and other than that I look at it on my time.

I'm 63 years old and I found myself on my phone more than my grandchildren. I am an avid reader and had fell behind on my reading because I would wake in the morning and get on social media, mainly Facebook. I was staying depressed and unhappy. I stopped doing that and now I read all the time, lol and I might get on FB for 10 minutes every few days. I found I had to live and not care what was going on with everyone else.

Totally appreciate this content! I started my health journey 3 days ago. This has been most helpful! I’m 220 and I definitely have a lot of work to do. I got this!

It's crazy that your video popped up today because I'm 35 disabled mentally and physically. I'm very unhealthy and I just got out of the hospital from neumonia. I know their are habits that I need to quit and replace with healthier and better for me things. Adulting is the hardest. I feel like I don't know what I'm doing constantly. Why don't they tell us how hard it is to be an actual adult. These things you mention will help me all. I know it isn't easy putting yourself out there like this but I truly am thankful for it and am proud of you. I can tell you are happy and it looks so good on you hunny.

Hope we get a tour of your new house. I remember when you used to give us tours of your old condo around the holidays (especially Halloween). Perhaps we can see home tours come back to your channel now that you are getting a larger space. Good luck with the new place.

Sara Jane, your message is just what I needed to hear today. In the past seven years, I lost two of my best friends and my mother. I'm a single 62 year old woman and trying to develop close relationships has been extremely difficult - especially after the pandemic. I went from working in an office of 100+ people to working from home. I've become a real hermit these days and rarely go out of the house anymore. Starting Monday, I'm going to follow your suggestions and start getting back out there. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us and providing some much needed encouragement. ❤️

I appreciate you sharing your pictures of yourself in a phase that you were not happy with your body and I enjoyed your honesty and helpful hints. Exercise is important and eating healthy and keeping your home organized and without piling up the tasks. Thank you❤️❤️❤️

My husband and I do something almost every single weekend and we're both really enjoying it. Life can't just only consist of work, so tired or not, we make ourselves get out there. Examples of things we do: go to horse shows(even though we know nothing about horses. They're just pretty. Lol), go to a town in our state we've never been to and have dinner, go to the local lake and rent kayaks for a few hours, we love Las Vegas and San Diego so we'll run over to vegas and watch a show or take a whale watching cruise in San Diego. We also buy year round tix for sea world. On the more affordable side, we'll go to the woods, pitch a tent and play UNO all night and eat sandwiches. Life is what you make it.
