Vlog 83-Travels In My Chair. I was on Ozempic for my type 2 Diabetes for a year. I lost weight but after a year, I had enough. Today I'll talk about what it has been like for the 6+ months that I have been off it.

I was on Ozempic and had NO side effects. Lost over 50 pounds. I’m no longer on it. I’m grateful for the weight loss and maintaining a good weight.
I have no problem eating.

I was on Ozempic for about 6-7 months, my prescription price was $225 per month. I live in Ontario, Canada. I thought that was crazy expensive until hearing in the United States some people are being charged a thousand dollars per month. 😮 I know this medication isn’t for everyone and the side effects differ from person to person but for me I was very pleased with the outcome!! I did have a few side effects at first which only lasted a 3-4 weeks, one was losing my appetite and having to force myself to eat at the beginning plus I was also constipated in the beginning probably because I wasn’t eating much. My appetite slowly came back but until it did I bought these boost JUICE boxes, NOT the meal replacement milky ones, yuck, they have ones that taste like a kids juice box ! It helped keep my energy level up until I slowly got my appetite back !! the crazy thing is once I got it back I craved healthier foods !! I added foods high in fibre as well which helped with the constipation. In the first month I lost around 20 pounds, probably mostly water weight ! In around 7-8 months I lost a total of 60-65 pounds, I think I’m now the perfect weight for my size 115-117 pounds 5’ 1 “ small frame. I can say I now feel better than I have in years !! My arthritis pain is GONE, my knee pain and back pain also way less !! After so many years of trying so many different diets and failing on all of them Ozempic worked for me!! I now think twice before I eat anything unhealthy !!! I DONT want to go back to where my body hurts everyday, the way it did before I took the weight off !! Im now pain free and want to stay that way!! Good luck to everyone on or is thinking about going on Ozempic and I truly hope it works for you !!

Thank you soo much ❤️ I was on Ozempic for 2 months. I had severe reactions. It affects your brain and body adversely. I'm type 2 and did not have an eating problem and almost starved to health. My mind refused me to eat certain foods that were healthy and bad. I continued to have severe abdominal issues. I then checked a site which reported hundreds of lawsuits have been filed against ozempic from October of 2023 thru current. Please look under lawsuits filed. It can cause permanent affects. I immediately got off. It takes 6 weeks to get out of your system. It harms your body and in some cases permanently. God bless you!! Be safe.

Thank you for sharing your story and hopefully it helps others with making a big decision. I was on Ozempic twice, first time just over 5 years ago and then had surgery for breast cancer and went off the drug. I was 57 yrs old at that time and now 62. Having had cancer made me realize how vital it was to take charge of my health and I went keto and lost a lot of weight. Then covid hit and got out of a marriage that wasn’t working, retired and a few other big life changes and then with the stress, the weight came back to more than pre cancer. I went back on Ozempic at the cost of $500 a month out of pocket. Weight was not dropping but side effects were challenging with low energy, constant headaches and just feeling rough. After 4 or 5 months, I gave it up due to little weight loss and side effects and the tremendous cost. Almost 2 months ago I started a carnivore diet which I now consider my lifestyle forever. I feel amazing and lost inflammation after only 2 days and have been great since and I am slowly losing weight which I feel is the best way to go. I am down 13lbs in 7 weeks. I encourage those who want to take control of their life to consider and research keto or carnivore diets. Wishing the best for everyone! ❤️

My husband is type 2 diabetic and was put on this medication that really helped him until the stars found out it helped them lose weight. Then the price went up so much my husband couldn't afford it. Maybe after listening to this lady it was a blessing in disguise.

I was on it for 2 months. No matter what I did I could not lose weight. I ate healthy and counted all of my calories and worked out 5 days a week. I literally did not lose a single pound in almost 6 months. With semiglutide I lost 20 pounds and it changed my eating habits drastically. I used to overeat even though I cooked and made healthy food. I always ate seconds and I ate a lot late at night. So I’m grateful for that. I stopped taking it because of side effects and the serious risks of cancer and pancreatitis. I had severe fatigue and lots of burping and occasional heartburn. I’ve been off it about 2 months and kept it off so far. My appetite hasn’t come back but I do eat just not as much as I used to. I still have a lot of burping and I get bad stomachaches sometimes.
You have to weigh out the risks for yourself. I’m grateful I finally got the weight off and I’ll continue to eat healthy and exercise. I’m on the fence about whether I’d take it because of the side effects. I’m hoping the side effects will stop eventually. All drugs have side effects. You have to do your research and make informed decisions.

on ozempic for over a year 112 lbs lost i follow a low carb lifestyle and never had side effects thankfully. I’ve kept it off for 2 years . the problem is people stop what they are doing to lose weight they go back to eating a high carb diet . sorry you had a bad experience.

I'd hate not being able to enjoy food. I've been doing intermittent fasting for 6 months and the best part is being so proud of myself when I have fasted for 24 hours and then have a lovely meal as a reward. I just appreciate the tastes and textures and the process of sitting down and savoring even the simplest of foods. I broke my fast yesterday with avocado and thin ham slices on toast with a few white grapes on the side. It was divine! ❤

Diabetes II. Lost over 100lbs. However, radical change of diet. In two years, just one takeaway, no ready meals, no fried food. Stick with a simple diet - one egg vegetable omelette for breakfast, piece of fruit for lunch, 100g protein with cherry tomatoes, baby beets, one tablespoon five or couscous for dinner, and one small slice soda or wholemeal bread with 0.5ozs cheese. Importantly, the constant screaming for food has stopped .... And that is because this drug replaces missing saiety hormones that about 4% of obese patients suffer from.

As a medical Biochemist, can I just say that many of the drugs used to treat cancer, cause radical change in taste.

I'm minus 125 pounds! Never been this thin (140). Off BP med. I love that it gets rid of the "food chatter". Not one bad side effects on Ozempic. ❤
