Beautifully said. I'm a single mom doing the job on my own and you're right- I can't be both mom and dad. I can only be the best mom I can, and need to be a powerful mom ❤

It's quite similar to what we mothers have had to do with military husbands who are literally owned by the govt and are gone at the drop of a hat for longer than ever planned and the knowledge they may not returnwell and whole let alone at all. I understand quite a bit after 30 years of it, but every situtation and path are uniquely different. I send you love, strength, and energies, Mama Bear! ❤ also, as a 13 yr old whose father walked out on his family, my mother couldn't be 2 parents. Alsovepic fail. As well as no place for us in the Corporation.
Impossible, as you now know 🥰 you definitely tune into different and new strengths and develop new skills as you go. Never easy, but it is so worth it! Hugs to you and your children!!

It's a good thing to teach your children because if you don't then someone else will. But if you are going to teach them then be smart enough to teach them the TRUTH! If you lie to them they will discover it later and loose respect for you!

Yes. Don't save your kids. Teach them. Explain to them. Then let them fall on their ssses and learn from it. Agreed.

Anyone who has lost a partner understands this. Stay in your strength❤

I kind of don’t know what all that means? What does she mean? She tried to be a father? I am a lesbian mother of a nine year old and I don’t get it.

This is lowkey nonsensical asl, as much as I feel for her as a fellow single parent. The terms of "mothering" or "fathering" is arbitrary and mean absolutely nothing outside of stereotypes people have placed on em. She was parenting, male or female was irrelevant, a man shouldn't raise a child any different from a woman or non-binary person or anything like that, makes no sense. Good parenting practices are good regardless of the gender of the parent 💯

What are you talking about??? How did you take on a “father” role? You didn’t, you were a single mother the whole time. 🤷🏽‍♀️
