For the people who call this bad form, push press is basically a "cheater" military press too. Athletes do these movements for explosiveness in S&C, not to build mass.

Also love cheater barbell rows as someone who competes in Judo. Nothing more fun than loading up 200kg and just going to town on for 4 or 5 working sets, and keeping lifting fun when you got bumps and bruises from a contact sport is super important imo so you don't skip out on your lifting.

This is to target fast twitch muscles, as explosive with as heavy weight as you can. Bruce Lee is a advocater of this form of training, not for hypertrophy but for explosiveness.

What's the advantage of using this type of row over a strict form?

Dunno. Bent-over rows, when you can do 3-5 clean reps, but making it ~8 reps with a bit of cheating seems safer.
