Easy to make and works a heck alot better than those expensive brands. Water softener salt, dish soap and water.

Salt doesn't leave the soil easily, and it can't be neutralized quickly. The salt stays in the soil until it's leached out by water. Depending on how much salt you use as an herbicide, it could take years for rainwater to remove enough salt to make the soil viable for plant life again. To speed this process, soak the area deeply with water every day. Too much water can be harmful to existing plants, but it's the only way to clean salt out of the soil relatively quickly. Even with daily soaking, it could take months for the soil salinity to lower sufficiently.

Thanks for the video. Will this work on Virginia Creeper growing on ground next to, on top of, and under wooden fence?

If you live by the ocean water works fine.

Amazing Magical containers! The more stuff you pour into them... the lower goes the level of the liquid inside!😆🤣 Moreover, the level in right container was higher... Then magically it became lower!😄

I mixed 1lb of salt with 1 gallon of boiling water - added 1 tablespoon of washing up detergent, and sprayed the mixture with a spray bottle: How long will it take to effectively kill the weeds and grass, please? Is fine spraying ok?

Great video but wanted to let you know that straight vinegar works just as well .

When this is successful killing weeds can other plants be planted in the treated soil and grow ?
Does this method destroy the soil and nothing else can be grown there ?

I've been using table salt, but rocksalt or water softener is much cheaper per pound. I guess I will make the switch.

I assume the dish soap is to make the mixture adhere to the weeds. I've been spraying directly on the base of the weed, and that kills it too. It just take a few applications.

You realise you just made a video about how to add 2 things to a bucket of water

Not to be facetious, but is the reason you didn't post the follow-up because it didn't work? I would really like it to work; I'd happily use it myself.

I spay the property line with salt. Salt you put on sidewalks and parking lots. Whole lot cheaper than that water softener salt. Heat up, warm up the water. Mix in a gallon of water 2 cup's
Of salt .2 gallons of vinager cup of soup..
For the solution to stick to the weeds,
Grass's you wanna kill 👍👍👍

you do know that the dishwashing detergent has nothing to with killing the weeds and an overdose salt will kill the soil

Is it necessary to wait overnight for the salt to dissolve?
