Reading books really helped me train my focus. You will especially notice how quick you’re mind starts to wander off when you start out reading and that should really be a wake up call for you to continue reading to help you get a better focus as well as accumulating knowledge.

Now this is some real advice, the internet should have a lot more content like this. It is some of the best life changing advice I have come across on the internet for a long time.

I do this all the time, I don't get bored. I kind of just start thinking and letting my mind flow. Focus is found when will is strong.

I've been following him for years. All these little exercises he mentions, for stress, focus, sleep, etc.... I tried them all with consistency. I wish this man knew how much he helped me.

It’s true. I was finding myself really struggling to focus and I recently began meditating every day and it has drastically improved my focus and mental clarity throughout the day.

The single best activity in the world to practice focus is without a doubt reading.

Every time you start thinking about something else, or you look elsewhere, or whatever. You bring it back. Every. Single. Time.

Eventually you don't have to do that anymore because you can just focus on what you're doing. Focus is a skill.

I have been watching him for less than 3 weeks. As someone with head trauma as a child and more as an adult I am finding ways to preserve and continue to accomplish my goals with so much of his advice and learning. The beauty is I don’t need pharma to help me here most of what he recommends are affordable and easy.

I have test anxiety.
When I got anxious while taking a test, I would put my pen down, look up at the ceiling, & stare. Then I would go back to the test relaxed & able to answer the questions.

I have adhd and I can tell you now that you tube shorts are the worst for my condition. They just ruin my ability to think in a linear way for the rest of the day.

EDIT: possible solution found.
Goto your you tube feed. Scroll to the shorts then click the 3 dots on each short and click not interested. Scroll to next line of shorts and do the same to them. Keep scrolling and do the same to any shorts you find.

Then shut the app and restart it. You should have no more shorts appearing.

Not sure how long this approach will last but my YouTube on iOS no longer puts shorts in my feed.

I’m glad I’m hearing this via YouTube shorts, which is addictive and not focus inducing at all!

To anyone wondering... this works, really well, and pretty fast.

I have adhd and just tried this, after about 40 seconds to a minute my impulses started to kick in shaking my leg, fidgeting with my hands, rocking back and forth and I found it incredibly difficult to maintain the focus for 2 minutes but now I know how I feel when my impulses start so with time I should be able to recognise this and reset my focus

Called 'Traatak' meditation. Could be increased upto half an hour for even better results. Use alarm clock or phone.😊

I've been off grid for 10 years in the dead quiet of Southern Colorado on the side of a valley. No distractions whatsoever. if you want to learn how to focus and hear your instincts, this is the way to do it.
