Hold to power button for 10 seconds or until it stops blinking, wait 5 seconds, then tap the power button, and immediately after hold the controller sync button and the disk eject button until the screen pops up (you’ll know it when you see it) then tap, reset(bottom left option) then tap keeps apps and games, after that log back in and it should be fixed

The fix is extremely simple. In my case it was a Sony TV that was like:"I put every setting on "Automatic" including HDR. After turning to anything but HDR I never got the black screen or any interuptions whatsoever. And yes. With HDR on smart TV turned off I could still use HDR without any problems.

Specific. My model is an X89K. Which is nearly identical to the X85K but for different manufacturers there might be different settings.

Hold down the Xbox button on the Xbox console not the controller for 10 seconds until it turns off then unplug the console for about 30 seconds then plug back in then turn the Xbox back on

Make sure there isn't a disc in the console

for anyone who needs help still hold your power button on your Xbox till it turns of if it's digital hold the Bluetooth button after turning on if not digital hold dics and Bluetooth button it will open a troubleshoot menu click restart Xbox keep games and apps it will fix ur whole Xbox on soul

theres also a way to revert your xbox to minimal graphics, a lot of the time this happens because it doesn’t have the correct display settings for your tv/monitor

Setting go to general then go to tv @ display options and resolution and put on 1080p or 4k if it don't say that go to video fidelity @ overscan in the same settings and display do HDMI press yes then go back and put 1080p or 4k

I was trying EVERYTHING for hours and noticed it had to do something with my internet connection.
When I disconnected from my ethernet port and held the on/off button on the controller, everything in the menu popped back up from that black screen.
I think its either a internet problem or storage space since I only have 6GB of storage left.
I think i narrowed it down to two potential problems but there might be more.

Btw I fixed the problem in the middle of watching this video. I think you might need to reset your internet or disconnect internet from setting in your xbox.

Hold down xbox button on console till the light turns off Unplug everything wait 1 min plug it back in wait 2 min turn it back on from console

Just turn of unplug everything for about 2 minutes when you plug it back in plug in the power cord turn it on and then plug in the HDMI cord in it should work
