When i turn on my xbox theres usually the xbox logo that pops up but it stays there for like 3 minutes and then it goes into a black screen and nothing happens

Thank you so much. I tried turning it off and resetting it so many times. I finally used your first method and now it’s “preparing console” rather than going back to the troubleshoot menu! Unplugging all the chords and waiting a couple minutes really did the trick.

Thanks so much again, first black screen death happened a couple times, xbox1 was not doing anything, i was so pissed ! Did all your steps, 1.5 hours to figure it out, deleted everything, reboot it all off, 4 terra bite hard drive still had all my COD CW stuff ! Much appreciated 🙏 your my hero bro!!!

Wow, I wasn't expecting the disconnecting the cables to make a difference. But sure enough, this fixed it. Hard reset alone would not do. Thanks man!
