I used media creation tool to update from Windows 10 to Windows 11 (clean install) and it offered me the choice of a local user.

For people who don't know this, Windows started to integrate Internet Explorer into Windows because the European Union foorbade to bundle Windows with other software like a browser and videoplayer. That was why you couldn't remove software like Internet Explorer. So now MS has the same shenanigan with Edge, which is insane considering that Edge just is a GUI-skin on Chromium, so that should never be a part of the Windows operating system.

My keyboard does not have a separate number Keypad, no numlock. It is a MK-Star75 Mechanical keyboard with backlighting. LOL I did install Thorium, thanks for the nice browser. Edge is no longer the primary browser. May uninstall it eventually.

I use Unlocker to get rid of stuff i dont use in Windows. After a lot of trial and error i got a stable running pc without crap i dont use. Microsoft should make a windows version for home users that have options to say yes or no to Edge, Media Player etc. Let me choose what or whatnot 2 install on my hard earned computer..

How do you watch your 4k netflix/ w full audio in browser then with no edge, only reason its still here... not cut down or stereo audio... not using the app that's dumb

I just make snapshots and restore these when I've gone too far. Much easier and resilient way to protect against unwanted changes. Less coding. I also clonezilla my linux host so I don't see the need to spent much time running windows other than playing games. Bash coding is like a fully integrated batch script in windows. But since it never was well imported into the platform in later days they had to come out with powershell. Also the idea of a registry is absurd and counterproductive. Whenever you want to do anything you are asked to pay for things that i don't have to on my linux host. So why would I pay for anything running inside a virtual machine? I mean, I don't even instal that os on a physical machine because I know my harddisks will never hibernate whenever I activate those cool features like defragmentation and antivirus. Both things which are non existant in linux. No, I better have my linux go to bed with me, save some resources when I am too lazy to press hibernate.
