It’s not exactly the best feeling to wake up, and suddenly realize how it feels to truly be alone. Trust me, I know. If there’s anyone who feels like this who comes across this comment, just know you are not alone in this loneliness. For we are all alone together. Somehow, someway it’s going to be okay. 0:46 I love this scene of Forrest waking up and realizing Jenny is gone, because that silence conveys so much. Throughout the movie We as an audience are charmed by Forrest’s eccentric narration on everything, but here he has nothing to say. We can only imagine how devastated he is.

Thing is, Jenny is running. She just expressed her vulnerability and her real love for the first time since her father did what he did to her, and she's terrified of it. She doesn't know how to handle it, so she runs--like she always has. The catharsis at her house was the start of her healing, but it takes years to learn how to process after a lifetime of running from your pain.

To be left utterly alone after being thrown under the bus is the worst feeling you can have. I know how Forest feels, because many women have done that to me. Now, after rewatching this scene, I realize I can't just sit down, break down in tears, and beat myself up. I need to get up and give myself a purpose to keep going.
Many men cope heartbreak with alcohol, binging, and more often then not, pornography. Forest shows us there's always a better way to cope, so let's be like Forest and find a truly beneficial way to mend our broken hearts.

This scene made me sad the most in the entire movie. Forrest Gump deserves to live happily ever after, but then life doesn't always going to be as expected. I hate what Jenny has done to him, but I understand.

It's so hard to watch her do him so dirty. I had a Jenny, once. Met her in 6th grade. Fell in love with her on sight. Her parents were best friends with my aunt and uncle. Hooked up with her when I was 40. She was a 40 yr old Playmate. Perfect. Had her for a couple years and then she was gone. Did me DIRTY. But, like Forrest, I still love her and would take her back in a second. I used to tell her she was my Jenny.
