I just love how Forrest says “okay” instead of yes. Such perfect for his character yet such a minute detail

I really don't think John Travolta could have pulled this off. He was the first choice.

Love is without condition. He loved her, so without condition he offered her peace in her last days. Whatever the viewer feels about Jenny, Forrest always had her back.

I had a love hate thing with Jenny. Even though she was really great to forest when they were young, and I understand she had so many issues she had to overcome. I feel bitter sweet about her coming back into his life. It's great that Forest got to meet and be with his son. But I wonder if she had never gotten sick would she have even told him about his son. Which she have ever even wanted to marry forest if she wasn't terminal? I just don't like that. But I do love how forest has so much unconditional love for her that it didn't matter. But still I feel like forest deserves so much better than Jenny.

I think people forget Jenny was a good friend to Forest all throughout his school years. He was bullied hard because of how he is, yet Jenny never let him feel alienated or alone.

I knew Jenny was going to ask Forrest to marry her. But her saying it still made me cry.

00:29 - 00:46 You can come home with me. Jenny, you and little Forrest can come stay at my house in Greenbow. I’ll take care of you if you’re sick.

That was one of the sweetest but saddest moments in movie history. I never realized that until now. Not when I saw it as a kid

Im 36 and had a really traumatic childhood…. I’m barely getting it together …. She’s a character but she represents many real life people who’ve gone through trauma. Everyone is different…. Have mercy on those who take longer to rise up

I can't believe the movie was directed by the same person who directed the Back to the Future movies, Roger Rabbit and The Polar Express

0:46 that look means she doesn't have to worry who will take care of her (and his) child.

Thing is, Jenny is a flawed character but in the best ways possible. She represents how traumatic childhood experiences can mess you up in life. But Jenny also serves as a reminder that once you put your heart into it, and want to get better and stop running away from your problems, things will get better and you can finally become someone free from your past shackles. She loved Forrest but could never accept his love her when she couldnt even love herself. She was finally able to stop running and overcome it all and make her say back to him, this time accepting his love because she could finally love herself.

This pains me to say this, but what if Jenny's son, wasn't Forrest kid?

Poor Jenny, she encountered all the negative circumstances of those two decades because she has a violent start in life…i always feels sad for her. She is such a sweet but lost girl. The only good thing happen in her life was Forest and little Forest.

It really sucks what Jenny’s been through all her life whenever she wasn’t around or with Forrest, and to stick with her childhood friend in marriage for eternity JUST BEFORE dying? I know it’s not always the right way to go, but as they say “better late than never”.
