Why your car insurance is so expensive

If you’ve seen your car insurance prices go up this year, that’s no coincidence. But even if they didn’t, you’re not doing yourself justice by not shopping around.

Shopping around every year is the only way to get the lowest prices. Sticking around with the same insurance company could mean you’re losing on hundreds of dollars.

Usually, the most optimal way to get the lowest insurance is to shop around and then bundle your car and home/renters insurance together.

I'm tired of COVID being blamed for everything

I had a small accident, bumped into another car and my paint rubbed into his. Progressive paid out $700 to him and doubled my insurance over a 6 month policy totaling a $1200 increase in premiums. I would've been better off paying the damages myself.

As agent this is so dumb. You don't shop car insurance by yourself unless you have studied insurance. There is no other way to actually know.

I currently have geico and I just can't actor them anymore. I will call them up soon and see if I can get a new lower rate quote but I might definetly have to look somewhere else.

Uk never refunded any money during or after covid. Insurance is high here so thats not the real reason

I dont think so... Its expensive for car companies to make cars eco, make all safety tests and other stuff. Its more exoensive to make a car now so cars are more expensive
