So yes and no the agents at my company usually does not even talk to the clients and will literally tell them without knowing the situation to call the call center. Yes we sometimes aren’t knowledgeable why? I have no idea we all took the same test to get certified so we should know but sometimes people don’t know but they do give us the tools to know the best option for the client…. We just can’t advise one way or the other.! So if they call wanting to know what to do we can advise them to speak with their agents or I can help them set up a claim or if they want to know if something is covered I can help you file a claim and an adjuster will reach out to you and let you know whether that is covered. Although yes I can definitely see if they are covered or not and I can also see if they should file a claim with the other parties insurance company first..! also under any circumstances always file a police report*** whether that’s online (for private property most police will tell you that you have to do it that way) or in person file that report!
