Cut my palm with a knife, I am using a damp toilet paper and a bandage rapped around my hand, will it heal and stay safe like this? (I do and will change the toilet paper after a few hours or a day)

So what do you suggest for keeping it moist? Neosporin?

I love duoderm. I explain that the healing under it is like the healing under a scab. It’s magical I tell them. All the good ‘juices’ that you’d see under a scab, healing and helping. I tell them not to worry about the yellow exudate under the duoderm. He’s right, in a healthy wound, wet edges work. Use it for scarless skin tears-keep the duoderm on as long as possible-minimal scar!!!! If that.

I got stitches on my upper eyelid 2 days ago. I still have 4 stitches inside, but when can I put vaseline on? After removing stitches or can I put vaseline already today?

Anything moist 100% of the time is prone to infection and rot.
That's my experience

So why do these random sores on my arm TRAVEL and make huge scars in streaks? No. I'm not picking. I wash them in warm Castille soap and water, use triple ABO and clean bandaids. They are popping up along the lines of 15yr old professionally done tattoos. I occasionally get them on my back and face and are incredibly painful. They exude tiny white *objects* about half the size of a grain of rice.. every doctor I've seen has rolled their eyes and told me to "quit picking" and give me a round of antibiotics which help? They never heal all the way and can stay open for up to 6 months. Blood work, normal. "Get the f*ck my office" is the resounding diagnosis.. I. NEED. A. REAL. DOCTOR. by that I mean one without a massive narcissistic personality disorder.
My father was a surg tech.. mother an RN.. I grew up carrying around a Grey's Anatomy and the 1976-1983 copies of a PDR.. I've been shunned by at least 30 different clinics. God forbid anyone in room mentions Morgellons.. I've been placed in the psych ward just for that. Released 12 hours later with the psych rolling his eyes at the doctor that made that call.. I'm tired and in pain. I had a doctor suggest methadone for pain management. I'm now on 230mg of methadone with absolutely no sedation. I realize that dose could kill more than one adult human.. so why am I just a policy number? Where did compassion and bedside manner go? 😢

The keeping moist confused me too, is it ok to cover it with some kind of shield to avoid debris, I cant bare the gauze pad dressing very painful its sticks to the wound, bso I use a shield instead, its moist but after a day its smells bad and the drainage becomes white but its moist and no debris can enter the wound
