Although I'm on the opposite side of hypothyroidism, having hyperthyroidism but I like to share some of my suggestions in addition to the good advice the doctor posted.
1) start consuming sourdough bread
2) try intermittent fasting. It helps with regulating your blood sugar, hormones and all other issues. I do it all the time and in fact I do a 72 hour fasting once every two weeks in addition to daily intermittent fasting.
3) Do not snack in between meals.
4) drink lots of water
5) exercise, especially weight lifting, walking...
6) I make all my meals with avocado oil and ghee
7) stop eating out since they use inflammatory oils which makes us ill.
I can go on with so many other ideas but slowly change your eating habits because that's the first step to recover from all illnesses. Godspeed

I was diagnosed in 1996 with hyperthyroid. They gave me a choice of surgery to remove my thyroid or to take a radioactive iodine pills. With a failed to tell me was that it was going to destroy the bone marrow in my face and neck and throw me immediately into menopause. I was 35. Radiating the thyroid for hyperthyroidism should be completely removed as an option

Wow....what an eye opener. Thank you, Dr. After 20+ years of doctor visits, and doctors always increasing the Levothyroxin prescription, I have to ask why hasn't one physician offered up even a morsel of this information. Makes me feel like pharmaceutical sales are more important than me 😢

I agree with his diagnosis to remove Gluten, Dairy, Processed food, Soy!

Thank you doctor for this information and video about thyroid, I removed my thyroid two weeks now, the doctor removed it from the two sides of my neck, I did have a big swelling on the right side of my neck I have low thyroid, now I am on thyroid medication for the rest of my life, my voice changes after I did the surgery but I am praying that God will heal me and let my thyroid heal i have to try to eat what is best for my body and thyroid. . Thank you for sharing

Great post, thyroid is so diff for everyone isn’t it . For me,
1. I’ve stopped eating outside food completely inc takeouts and spmkt ready meals, stopped dairy. Sugar
I eat gluten ( homemade tortilla wraps/rotis) and lots of veg and salad.
3. Eat tofu for protein but mostly chickpeas/black beans etc on a daily basis.
4. Only cook in Avocado/olive oil.
5. Try incorporating ginger, turmeric and back pepper, whole spices where I can.
6. Make my own ground spices.
7. Do 1 hour of cardio in some form daily ( walking / exercise videos from YT).
8. 45 mins of strength training of some sorts - home circuits, yoga and weights in the gym.
9. I have started taking thyroid complex supplements, plenty of good ones in the market.
My progress is slow but I am hoping to see married improvements in my health. 🤞.

This is a beautiful gesture from you and I think it’s a great contribution. I want to add one note more. I realize that everything related to my Hshmt problem is deeply related to my selfesteem, kindness towards myself, living truly “who I am” and allowing myself to cultivate love in #1 place in my life. Nobody mentions the affective/spiritual side of this disease but I think it’s extremely important. Having said this, 1000 thanks.🙏

I 100% agree with you on all these foods! Also, 90% vegitarian diet with some fish. I healed my graves and hasimotos just like this!! Also, add at least 15 min hard and sweaty exercise in the AM!

My mother never eat fast food, processed foods and had bad hypothyroidism. Today I believe was all started with too much stress. Let's not forget nutrients deficiency cause MOST diseases, but ONLY in those with leaky gut OR those with some form of disfanction in one or many genes. Stress cause deficiency, the stress cause changes in the gut. There are people in there 90, s with good health and eating very basic foods that" we" believe is not healthy is not nutritious enough, and there ate people eating a very colorful " healthy " diet, organic, grass fed, taking extra nutritional suplement, young and with health issues. What is it ? Is gut issues? How one person healed herself eating lots, a great deal of various plant foods and some supplements, while another healed eating very basic foods and GREEN BANANAS COOKED?? HOW did all the different foods fixed the gut? How did the green bananas cooked also healed the gut??

Heavy plant based noted in the video, made my thyroid worse. My improvement came from a northern diet… fish especially. Of course selenium is high in fish.
