I’ve always been passive if she’s acted up thinking I don’t want her to see she’s getting me riled up. Stay cool. Stay calm. Which is 90% the right way to deal with it I’ve since found out. I never realised you had to ‘set boundaries’ and ‘call her out’... these are totally alien concepts to me...I mean, you do this with children, yes, when they’re little... but your girlfriend??

This just doesn’t compute to me. At all.

Now I’ve realised in recent years you have to do this. I wish I’d known this years and decades before.

Every single girl ended up leaving me. Now in my 50’s the deep psychological and emotional scars are evident and I just don’t date anymore.

It’s not about good vs bad. It’s about strong vs weak. This needs to be made clear, as so many impressionable people really get the wrong idea, which backfires on them whilst damaging others.
