I only watch videos like this for entertainment. I don't plan getting into the tree service business. You do impressive work and make good interesting videos.

I cannot quite see how the telescope holds the tongs. Also, when I have used a similar method, here is what I found with the rope under pressure and pulling the tree in one direction. At first, the pressure of the rope pulls the tree in the desired direction; BUT!, after the first inches of lean begin, the rope goes slack, and the tree can fall to either side, which is not desired. What I did was have some heavy logs about 20" long, with a large nail in them, attached to ropes that were then hung on the main rope. Half a dozen or more of these can add 200 pounds of more pull force in the desired direction of fall, and those "dead weight logs" never stop pulling until they hit the ground. This came to me after a bad fall in which a large tree leaned in the direction I wanted with no "dead weights on it" and after a few inches of lean, the rope went slack and the tree fell to the side, damaging equipment. Thanks for your video.
I used a bow and arrow (Recurve Bow) with 80 pound monofilament line, attached to Weed Trimmer Line, which was attached to 3/4" poly rope, to run a line 20 feet or higher in a tree, and then hook up the Large "Come Along Winch" I used a 4 Ton Winch, and abandoned those with aircraft cable because I preferred the Nylon Webbing Winch.

How do you make sure that tongues stay in locked position on the tree? Can they be released from ground if you want to reposition them? Nice work as usuall 🍻

Silly question but do the trees ever fall on the felling tongs? Not sure if the tongs ever get damaged?

Do the tongs ever slip off the tree?

Love your channel.

Please, I would like a link to view sellers of felling tongues. The translation into Italian leads to something else and I only find lifting pliers 😞
