So here’s the thing about the eye strain. It’s NOT due to the size of the display. The same issue used to happen with LCD screens in dark rooms. Basically it’s like having a flashlight pointed at your eyeballs for hours on end. Yes it being close does increase the effect. However, the solution is simply to lower the peak brightness.

“OLED TV as a monitor 3 months later” - Only used for a month and half the video is about how great his UltraWide is, but not even in a comparing way.

I have the 55" lg cx. I'm someone who has never bought a top tier TV, I've always settled for low-med tier TVs and was pretty content with it. After getting the LG cx I will never settle for anything less than the best on the market. Netflix, prime, football and ps5 looks insane on it

On the point about headaches, I experienced this too when I switched to my 43 inch monitor last year, but after two weeks, the headaches completely went away and now it's simply the greatest monitor I've ever had. Granted, my desk is deeper than yours, so I am sitting further away, but I'm positive that sitting a few inches closer wouldn't have made any difference. It just takes some adjustment. Sort of like getting glasses for the first time. Once you adjust, it's totally fine.

Bought mine CX 48 after watching Your videos. Also had some headaches, then I've wallmounted it on really thin Vesa wallmount and it was best decision ever. So yeah, I will sit down and enjoy it for couple more years as this screen is amazing.

im on a 43" 4k and i feel that is the biggest comfortable size to go with, i was previously on a 40" and wanted to go a little larger. no headaches, i turn down the screen brightness a lot though and use the Warm2 filter for less blue light transmission.

That desk is simply too shallow for a 48" as a desktop monitor

They just announced 42 Version which is even better (EVO Panel) So i'll get one when its released, the 48 is much bigger than 42 for a desktop use.

Wall mounted my LG 48 and bought a monitor hood to cut back on the glare, best decision i ever made for my setup.

I wall mounted my LG OLED 48 CX and fitted a sliding shelf underneath my desk for my keyboard and mouse. This allows me to adjust my position to sit around 70-100cm from the screen and I find it perfect. I did have to increase the DPI of my mouse to make moving from side of the screen to the other faster however!
The added benefit of my setup is that since the keyboard and mouse (and game controller) sit on the sliding shelf and the tv is on the wall, I have a nice big desk that I can keep clear (other than my PC case) for hobby-craft, present wrapping and the like!

I bought this after your initial review and I've got to say I was very skeptical, but its turned out to be the best thing I bought in 2020 by far. I got myself a 1m deep desk so I'm not on top of it, and now I genuinely struggle at work now with 3 24" monitors, they're too small! I've never had headaches from this TV, but that's probably due to the distance I am away from it. Appreciate the videos! If you have the space for a deeper desk, you want to seriously consider this TV.

I’ve been using the LGCX48 for about 2 months now and absolutely love it!

I use it for gaming, sim racing, music production, work, and watching movies. I have no strain or fatigue and my eyes are about 90cm away from the screen. I understand others’ experience may vary.

For me though, it’s worth every penny and I can’t ever go back to an LCD now.

Sorry to hear ! I'm in love with my 48" LG OLED for desktop. I generally keep my OLED light on 30. It's incredibly bright above 50%.

once I have seen OLED my eyes can never go back!

Whenever your FOV requires you to turn your *head* instead of only your *eyes*, you are going to experience strain and fatigue.

I mounted my 48Inch and has made so much difference. Frees tons of desk space and as the middle is in line with my eyes no neck or back strain. Also the mount is a a full swival on both sides. Works great connected to my PC and PS5.

I swapped to tv and love it distance defo stops eye strain. I surprised how much I enjoy gaming now set up recliner made my own lapboard. Especially with my eyesight as I get older saved my so much hassle getting new glasses to.

I've been using a 65" LG C9 as my primary monitor for 6 months now. I sit about 8-ish feet away from it, and have no eye strain. I LOVE it. No visible burn in whatsoever. I use a static grey image to check it, and the uniformity looks the same as the day I bought it. I had a 42" commercial HP touch-screen as my main display for a few years before this, so I adjusted to the large form factor a while back.
