Hey Chaps! Do you think 48-inches is too big??

Update: Apologies for missing audio at 7:42, I'm supposed to say $1199 for the 32-inch!

I love the fact it's got a matte finish on an OLED! But 42" would have been perfect.

Great look at new 4k OLED LG Monitor man. Looking forward to see you review this later on.

Great review! Have you measured the brightness for a 100% white window yet? And were the >1000 Nits on D65?
Regards,
Tim

A big thing with the C1/C2 as a PC monitor was the quality of text/fonts. Does this have that same issue?

I always enjoy your energy and enthusiasm 😊 And that monitor is super nice! 48" seems rather big though, but maybe one gets used to it.

The Secret Menu/Service Remote thing you can also boot up the WebOS and entuer in an LG service URL where you put in a 4 digit code and can access the secret window that way. I had to do it a few weeks back after an Nvidia update borked my C1 and was making the auto dimming a complete pain. You mentioned this monitor doesnt have WebOS but it might work via regular browser through your desktop.

That's the coolest remote I've ever seen! Very unique for sure.

The comparison review relative to the LG 42" C2 should be quite interesting, especially in regards to brightness and text readability. However, the much less aggressive auto-dimming is already a significant improvement.

Hello, I wish to know about the ultrawide switch.
Does it work properly on a game with full screen at 120hz 10bit color ?
thank you.

I have this monitor, on a tv tripod stand behind my desk (140cm wide, 80cm depth ikea ) and the size is perfect ! Especially in games where you need to see enemies from afar.

Your opinion and praise for the speakers piqued my interest; how do they compare to the LG C2 speakers? I was not expecting a monitor to even have speakers, let alone good ones!

I have a Dell 43" 4k monitor (U4320Q) which I find ppi is too low, so at 48 inch it would be even lower. Have you ever tested 8K tv as monitor ?

I'm assuming the greyish blacks produced by the matte screen will turn completely black with the room lights off right? If not, it defeats the purpose of an OLED screen

Went to best buy and bought a lg 32gq950 but had a change of heart and went with this one...its mainly for my ps5..I'm coming from a 65inch samsung q90t so I think the size would do good for me.

I would love to use this in a virtual Pinball projekt. Is it possible to remove the externsion for the headphone at the bottom of the screen so it is flush?

Hi man have a question about your opinion! I am deciding on upgrading my curent pc monitor which is a 43" lg 60hz 4k monitor! I have never owned any oled panels/tv etc so this is fairly new to me! So I do not i basically do basic tasks browse, media consumption, youtube viewing zoom in on photos etc! Which would you recommend between this lg 48gq900, lg c2 48" and or that fairly new sony 48"?

I want to get a new monitor for gaming and to watch tv on. Should I go with this or the ROG swift 48 OLED?
Which would protect against burn out more?
