Each time I spend on myself especially clothes, I end up feeling guilty. And mind you, I don't even splurge each month, it's really once in a while or quite simply just one or two things.

But after that, I tell myself that I deserve to treat myself because I am the one that works the money. 😂

I definitely feel guilt when it comes to buying "surplus" food (junk food or food I didn't plan on) or going out to eat and going over what I planned. I struggle with the scarcity mindset, largely around food. As far as aligning with your values, I am trying to become more low-waste and get back on track with my health. A couple days ago, I was hungry and rushed and decided to stop by Burger King. A combo was $12, I felt guilty for the trash, the waste of money, and that I was still kind of hungry even after such a...dense meal.

Sometimes having those "dumb" moments reminds you of your "why."

🤔🧐 The same way I save money, is the same way I deal with the guilt of spending money which is: I Budget. This way though I’m spending money, which the guilt might make me feel uncomfortable BUT by setting a budget for the spending occasion, I feel responsible! 🤷🏿‍♂️ Just my two cents.
