I tell people right off, _"I'll tell you what you need to know, _*_not_*_ what you want to hear... until you give me a reason not to."_
But let's face it, warning people that such-and-such won't work is one thing, but there are plenty of people who'll disagree with you, *JUST* to disagree with you. Tell them something's black, and they'll insist it's white. Agree that it's white, and they'll now insist that it's black. Etc. Unless you know the difference between the 2 groups/types, you're SOL, and the latter group will just make you miserable..
