My ex wife called me to come back after 6 years apart several years ago and the answer was NO. I couldn't trust her anyway and I had moved on with my life. Did I do anything to "try to get her back?" No, so as you can see ex's can come back at anytime without you even trying.

Great video. I especially appreciated when you told me 99% of the people don't do the work necessary to understand their own attachment challenges. Moreover, being prepared for other peoples specific attachment needs or if you are willing to deal with that type. My ex contacted me today for the first time in 2 months and I'm not sure if I messed up or not. She sent me a text saying am I blocked? Then sent me another saying aren't you ready to be friends yet after I didn't reply to the first. I then replied a few hours later saying, no I haven't blocked you and no I can't be friends with you when i still see you in a romantic way, hope you're ok. Have I messed up?

It’s not all hopeless guys!

I was on and off no contact with my ex for months. After she ended it, I basically begged her for over a month to stay with me. Always saying how much I love her and miss her. This obviously turned her off and she eventually told me she had moved on and has a new boyfriend. I instantly felt sick and desperate but decided to take a different approach for the first time. I told her my goodbyes and how I hope she has a good future and left it at that. Two weeks later, I broke no contact and accused her of cheating on me when we were together (A mutual friend had told me) she shrugged it off and said “I don’t remember and even so, it’s in the past and you should move on” this broke me, but I then acted like it didn’t effect me, said it was nice to hear from her and went my separate way again. A week later I broke no contact and we chatted again. This went on for about a month. I thought it was hopeless and I would never see her again. Just recently she contacted me for the first time in months without me having to do so first. I’ve started working on myself: Gym, fitness, becoming more self reliant etc...She now talks to me almost every day, but I try and keep it short and always the first one to end the conversation. Since half of our relationship was long distance, she has agreed to meet up when I go to her country next month (Japan)

The reason I say all this is because it’s really not completely hopeless, no matter your situation. I thought my situation was terrible and nothing could be done. But with the right attitude and with a little work on yourself, it can really make a big difference. You’ve got this :)

Guys and girls are so different. When you look up what to do as a guy when an ex reaches out, all the advice is how to keep her in the net. When you look up what to do as a girl when the guy reaches out, all the advice is how to shut the door for good.


What the fuck do you do when the person who ripped you apart - heart, mind, and soul hits you up after six fucking years. Not months. Years!


These situations are EXTREMELY individual cases, and you're not going to get the help you need when the advice is generalized.

I agree that woman is inconsiderate. I feel she contacted him to be petty because he left her completely alone. I am glad he realized she really is not worth his time. I believe once a person breaks up with you take their number out your phone and move on. We must learn how to deattach to move forward to better ourselves. I have learned a lot these last few months. If they reach out after 9 months that because she been pump and dumped and realized the grass is not greener on the other side not because she decided that she wanted to be with you again she been used and abuse and realized your the only one out of all the guys that used her that wants to be with her she thinks you cannot do better so she takes you back
