At the watershed of his career, Bob stopped making aboveboard transactions and became a spendthrift. He built a restaurant at the watershed of two rivers. The restaurant, which could be easily ramshackled by water, was built in a slapdash manner and hence, lucked luster.

1. slapdash (adj): do sth in a hasty and careless way.
e.g. The paint job was slapdash. It looked like they did it in an hour.

2. ramshackle (adj): (of buildings, vehicles, furniture, etc) in a bad condition, needing repair.
e.g. He lives in a ramshackle building with a sagging roof.

3. spendthrift (n) (adj): a person who spends too much money or wastes money.
e.g. He was a spendthrift and a heavy gambler.
e.g. Her spendthrift lifestyle continues unabated.

4. above board (adj) (adv): legal and honest. Just imagine you have to be honest by putting all of your cards above the board when playing poker.
e.g. Don't worry. The deal was completely above board.
e.g. The accountants acted completely above board.

5. lacklustre (adj): not interesting or exciting, not showing a lot of activity or effort; (of the hair or eyes) not bright, dull.
e.g. After a period of lacklustre performance, the company has finally announced some positive results.
e.g. Using this hair mask will revitalize your lacklustre hair.

6. watershed (n): geographically, it's the area that separates water flowing to different rivers; figuratively, it's a turning point or an important change (a watershed in sth). Since I suppose they use the figurative meaning more frequently, I'll make only one example.
e.g. The invention of the number 1 to 9 marked a watershed in Sapiens' ability to store and process mathematical data.
