One could not prognosticate the harsh verisimilitude that, despite his opprobrium toward the GRE test, he would begin to study the supernumerary amount of variegated GRE words, which can cause an imbroglio in a conversation.

imbroglio (noun) -- an extremely confused, complicated, or embarrassing situation.

opprobrium (noun) -- harsh criticism or censure or public disgrace arising from shameful conduct.

prognosticate (verb) -- to forecast or predict (something future) from present indications or signs; prophesy.

supernumerary (adjective) -- present in excess of the normal or requisite number.

variegated (adjective) -- exhibiting different colours, especially as irregular patches or streaks.

verisimilitude (noun) -- the appearance or semblance of truth; likelihood; probability or something, as an assertion, having merely the appearance of truth.
