1. munificence (n): extreme generosity.
~ My boyfriend showered me with lots of chocolate on my Valentine's Day. I thanked him for his munificence.

2. prevaricate (v) = equivocate (v): be deliberately ambiguous or unclear in order to hide the truth
~ The history of prevarication is undermining the administration at a time when trust is needed the most.

3. salutary (adj):
- beneficial.
~ He sent me a salutary reminder of the dangers of skydiving.

- healthful, conducive to good health.
~ I enjoy the salutary air from the beach near where I live.

4. histrionic (adj), histrionics (n): self-consciously emotional, melodramatic, behave in an exaggerated way, without seeming sincere.
~ She put on a histrionic display of grief at the funeral.
~ Her histrionics upon confessing what she had done is not an indicator of sincere remorse and preparedness to change, but an additional manipulative tactic designed to sidestep the consequence of her actions.

5. impertinent (adj): rude and not showing respect for sb who is older or more important.
e.g. You might come across as an impertinent lad when you asked the director that question about his private life.

6. askance (adv): with suspicion or disapproval.
~ Even though I already told him that the deal was totally above board, he still looked askance at it.

Please bring the fervour of vocab Wednesday alive. It's tedious to study words without vocab Wednesday, alone. :( Thank you so so much.

I would have looked askance if you did not admit that people regarded impertinent the behavior of a woman who was constantly prevaricating and displaying histrionics in a library. People should be munificent that this salutary place exists and not only behave respectfully but also donate their own, no longer used, books to the library.

It would be good if you can first explain the origin of the word and it’s meaning rather than focusing on what it’s not. It’s quite natural that when you introduce a new word and explain what it’s not, brain remembers it more than what it actually means. So kindly explain the word first and then move on what it’s not.
