How to tell if your @carhartt Detroit Jacket is fake / real #vintage 🏴‍☠️

1. Misspellings on the care label. Any misspellings mean that it’s a fake. The RN# should be 14806 ( RN# 14806 ).

2. Detroit Jackets have tapered sleeves and a two button system. If your sleeve stitching is straight and not a curved support stitch then your jacket is a fake.

3. The material of the jacket is the easiest wand quickest way to identify fakes especially online. The fabric should not have any shine to it.

If your jacket has none of these three features then it’s most likely a real legit jacket. There are more identifiers so follow for more info.

Thanks for the video! It's a shame because the label in my jacket is identical to the fake one you posted, however, everything else resembles the real one such as the sleeves / stitching, no shine, etc.

My brother in Christ. The new Detroit’s have a straight stitched cuff. There is duck and tough duck which on has a “shine”. The only one I agree with is the label obviously
