You can "beat" the cold in 2-3 days if you take ~10 gr or even more vitamin C per day with a lots of water/tea. It worked for me a couple of times.

thanks! i just have a stuffy nose, a little sore throat but it’s gone, and a small fever! yet it’s gone, since i’ve had lots of cold things and fluids with popsicles here and there. a small cold is probably the case, i don’t have a high fever nor bad symptoms. hope i get better soon!
