If you have the option to walk after your meals, do it! There can be some incredible health benefits to doing this regularly. Take a look.

1. Body motion aids in digestion, stimulates peristalsis, and reduces bloating, gas, and the risk of constipation

2. Burns off blood sugars, allowing you to tap into more body fat

3. Improves insulin resistance

4. Reduces the risk of ulcers, heartburn, IBS, and colorectal cancer

5. Reduces blood pressure

6. Improves sleep

Studies show that walking 10 minutes after meals is better than walking 30 minutes after meals.

My father use to walk around the coffee table in the livingroom after dinner. I always thought it was strange...lol but he said it helped with digestion. This was way over 20yrs ago and he was in his 80's.

Walking at night after dinner helps improve mental health in general, as the summary of the day's thoughts and events revolve in the mind while walking, which leads to emptying the mind of any tension and thoughts before bed, and thus sleep easily and without worry.

Had A1C of 15.5 in 2017 and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. On Feb 1, 2019 I started listening to you, Thomas DeLaur, and a couple others and started keto, OMAD, and walking. Later added weights and biking. Anyway, my A1C is now down to 5.7 and still dropping! THANK YOU!

Dr Berg.. All of my life (now getting closer to 50) I thought it was normal to feel foggy, cranky, weak when hungry before meals… then I got labeled as pre-diabetic and with fatty liver… lost some weight and cut sugars and somewhat improved.. but your videos made a HUGE change… IF and Keto (even a “soft version of it) have made a tremendous change in my life. I’ve lost the fat around the liver (ultrasound confirmed), my liver numbers are in good shape and I no longer feel as I described. In fact, I can go for a number of hours without eating and I can function properly!! Thanks so much! I wished IF and keto had been known decades ago.

I have been "between jobs" for a couple of years now. This gave me the luxury of walking for an hour (3miles) every day on my own schedule. Starting a new full time job tomorrow. The plan was to walk during my lunch hour. Not necessarily ideal. Since my OMAD will now be shifted to later in the evening, walking after that might just solve the scheduling dilemma that was troubling me. Weather permitting. Thanks, doc!

As a new subscriber and someone who is benefiting from your videos, I recently started my 14-day sugar-free diet - after numerous attempts at weight loss, I'm finally starting to see some results - day 6 now and I'm already 6 lbs lighter. I plan on continuing this for 30 days and have given up alcohol as well to help improve my performance. I'm more energized now and even the wife is seeing the changes in me. Thanks!
