Japan is Safe because they do NOT glorify the “Thug Lifestyle” like we do in America. Responsible Citizenship

I’m from Baltimore. Many of my friends have been murderd. My youngest brother and cousin both murderd . I witness my first muder at the age of nine, my grandmother murderd right in front of my face. Living here I’ve had countless near death experiences. To
survive here it’s a certain kind of way you have to move and even doing that you can still get caught up. I love and hate my city ... Rip to all the brovas & sistas who lost their lives to gun violence nationwide

I’m from Baltimore too, and I can bear witness to the fact that anybody can get it in my hometown. People from the city know when we depart from each other, we don’t say bye, we say be careful and stay safe.

I think you missed something in those Baltimore mayors that resigned. They resigned because the were headed to jail.

So many of these cities are large, important and historic places. The ones on here that I’ve been to, I love, I love Detroit, Memphis, New Orleans, St. Louis, and Baltimore, it’s very sad to see how we just let them go. Land policy, urban sprawl, globalization, white flight, we just didn’t do a good job taking care of the cities that made this country and their residents that built our economy. I can’t say all of this was avoidable, but a lot it was.

As a Salvadorian, we are such a small country with a high rate. It’s sad

I'm starting to hear gunshots every other night living just outside of Baltimore. It's definitely increased this year.

The whole "there no guns in Japan" thing... there is no right to own firearms in El Salvador either. You Must be licenced to own one there. I think that Japan has such a low rate because they have a completely different culture, yes the yakuza exists but a very vast majority of Japanese citizens are known for their law abiding nature.

Amazing to think I was a front line Police Officer for 31 years in Scotland and never had to attend a single murder or stabbing in my entire career.
