Holy crap! These are the places in Texas that are CRAZY dangerous!

Texas isn’t the most dangerous state overall, but it’s up there. According to the latest numbers put out by the FBI, it’s the 12th most dangerous state of all, when you take into account the number of robberies, assaults, shootings, murders and other crimes per capita. There’s a lot of places in Texas where you could chill out and never be bothered but in many parts of this state, you gotta watch your back. And apparently, your bag of Whataburgers.

To determine how dangerous each place in Texas is, we just had to look at how many crimes happened in each city, and see what your chances of being a victim are. Some of the places we’ll talk about are really small, but have a LOT of crime. A few of the cities we’ll visit will not be surprising. Right now, We’re heading into the most dangerous cities in Texas hombre

Aww Texas. One of our fastest growing states of all. High crime in many areas certainly isn’t enough to deter people from flocking here in droves. Going back 10 years ago, Texas was 21st in the nation for murders. Today, it’s exactly average - ranking 25th for murders per capita. So it’s less murderous here these days, although, property crimes and assaults have definitely gone up in this state. Especially in places like Houston and Dallas.

I used to live right outside Houston. Hell on earth. San Antonio is definitely dangerous, but feels far safer than Houston ever did.

Houston's crime has gotten worse since the pandemic begins. Homicide is ranked the top 5 worst in the United States. I live in a pretty safe neighborhood near Spring. Lived there for 25 years, never experienced any crimes.

The consulting business must be hard - everyone you meet with would just want to live next door to you so they could hang out.

I live in Odessa, nothing happens to anyone here unless you hang out with the wrong people or you have an abusive spouse.

I'm surprised Killeen wasn't on the list. Maybe the town is better than it was when I left there 8 years ago. I also lived in El Paso and that place is super safe, maybe the safest place I've ever lived.

New Nick Johnson video, awesome! I wonder what'll be here... Texas always seemed like a relatively safe state, at least in the central and northern parts.

McAllen is such a safe city to grown up in. Clean streets, paths, parks and shops. I’ve traveled half the country and I can honestly say the worst thing is that it can be boring. The schools are safe, clean and have so many programs for students.

Still amazed Killeen never makes these lists. Property crime is huge. Attacks happen often enough.

I live in Houston and honestly there isn’t a place I’d rather live. The people here always come together when there is tragedies. There is a reason why people say they are from “H-Town” or represent Houston, it’s because they love their city and are proud of it. The people here are so accepting and just mind there business, and not too political and ultra soft like Austin. Overall love Houston great place to live with many things to do.
