I'm from Norway. Been many places in the US. Mostly loved it, but there were two cities I didn't feel safe; Memphis and New Orleans...

Any place at night becomes potentially dangerous, especially around your local 7-11 store.

I travelled around America by myself every year. I landed at Memphis Intl.airport. Only few of those dangerous cities that I haven't visited. But most of all I thank God for the guidance and protections that He bestowed on me .

I’m from Detroit and I don’t recommend coming here to live. I absolutely love my city but I can’t stay in my city. 🙏🏽 I stay about 30 minutes outside of Detroit in southeast Michigan but I’m always back and forth for work and visiting family. My parents had to move us out the ghetto when we were young and we thank them for it. 🖤 it’s a special city, I’ll tell you that. #Detroit #313

I live in Chicago. It’s out of control. People start move out. It’s very quiet after 8pm. People scared don’t want to walk the dogs out like they used to be. Don’t forget Los Angeles too.

I work for ATT as an installation tech in St. Louis and yes there are multiple neighborhoods that I refuse to work in after dark. And when I’m not working I never leave my house without my sidearm

Baltimore #4. Live 10 minutes from Charm City. I avoid it, it’s very bad. Many parts of Baltimore is vacant. Dilapidated houses and homelessness is vibrant.

So glad I don't live near any of those dangerous cities! I once lived in NYC in Manhattan when I was in my early 20s in the early 1970s and worked as a fashion illustrator. I lived on the Upper East Side which is considered an upscale neighborhood, but once while I was at work, my apartment was ransacked and I was robbed! A terrifying experience! There were finger prints on my white closet doors, a murderer could have been lurking in there! I also once heard the blood curdling screams of a woman either being raped or murdered on the streets at 3 in the morning! Never forgot it! I asked the police 'What can I do?" and he said, "You can move" so I did! Into the safer suburbs at the time and near a college town! Sad, because I really loved living in NYC, a beautiful city rich with history and culture and I had a great time there with a great career! I had a friend from Sweden who told me, "You're a very violent society!", .... we are ever since we landed here in the 1600s! smdh I still lock my doors at night or when I leave my home. Once you experience violence in one form or another you become more self-protective!

From Chicago I can tell you that most of the crime happens in a few areas of the city and most of the city does not see bad levels of crime.

I used to go to Steels Scuba Diving Shop in Oakland. This was back in the early 1970s. It wasn't bad in the daytime, but at night, it became dangerous. I haven't been there since 1983.
