“Because nobody likes a teacher’s pet, not even teachers”- SO TRUE like one time tue teacher’s pet asked for hw and before we could react, the teacher screamed about her work overload and how he should stop giving her more work to do

Pretty true! Honestly, as a teacher, the students that stood out to me the most wasn't the smartest student or anything like that, but students who have fun with the class. A lot of the time it's the respectful class clowns. They're trying and having fun trying and that is honestly way more fun for everyone involved.

I think another great thing to do is just to be respectful and show that you’re there to learn. Throughout my years in HS I always found I had more opportunities than most of my peers due to the way I acted in the class. Teachers [commonly will] give you better scores and feedback if you show an appreciation for them. Gifts, saying thank you, or even just saying bye can really have an impact.

''Here's how you're gonna get on the teachers good side in *day one*''
''So after *a week or two*''

I deadass thought he was gonna end it at "After you've had a good amount of lessons, shoot your teacher."

Treating teachers as humans is a good one that I have been doing. Actually having good conversations with them is nice. I play chess with my science teacher from last year quite a few days after school because I was actually nice to her.

Tbh since Elementary School I just told my teachers “Good Morning/Afternoon” and “Have a good day” +generally showing respect and most of them really liked me.

Actually it’s a lot easier just treat them like humans, every Monday say hi when you walk in and just ask how there weekends was. On Friday say something like goodbye and have a good weekend. Just say small things that mean your acknowledging your teacher. I say hi to everyone of my teachers every day before class even the ones I don’t really like. Bc in seventh grade my math teacher said something I’ll never forget she said to me “ do you know how many kids walk into my class and never even look at me but you come here everyday and you greet me before you come in” that made me feel very happy so I always say hi to teachers

Well I'm just that quiet kid who's really polite to teachers. Even now that my grades are dropping like flies and I rarely submit assignments on time they're still like "it's okay, i'll help you ^^" when some other kids who do the same get told off.

Yup. In my art class everyone talks the whole lesson and I don’t as none of my friends are in that class. So I sit there quite the whole time and I do what the teacher says and it’s now become clear that I’m her favourite student in that class by even just her tone of voice when she talks to me and how she always comes to see if I need any help or anything.

I try to be polite and it works really well. Always do your best, and show that you respect them and show how interested you are in the classroom. It’s really great to see them light up and say hi first when you pass them in the hall. And talks after class!

in november, we got a new history teacher bc my original one retired. she was really cool and chill so i generally liked her class. i participated, asked questions, genuinely paid attention to the work we were doing, etc. now, im her favorite student out of all of her classes lol.

Honestly, a sense of humor and good work ethic goes a long way. That’s how I got on my teacher’s “good sides” without even realizing. I also shared my passions with them through assignments. For example, my Biology teacher loved my detailed diagrams and would always compliment them and I eventually told her I loved to draw and do art :)! That sparked further conversations and I’m sure she’d be happy to write me a recommendation letter or be a reference for me.

When he said "SHOOT YOUR TEACHER" and then continued with "an email" had me concerned for a second.

As a teacher, the students that seem to care most during the lessons and are asking clarifying questions directly to me are the ones I pay most attention to.

Ok so apparently the video doesn’t end at “shoot your teacher”……

I should’ve known earlier.

For me, I got my teachers to like me by actually paying attention in class, participating occasionally, and doing my work on time.
