You give the people what they need. I am people.

We're definitely only 5 months into the year. Don't give me anxiety like that, I still need to do my taxes 😅

I never thought about the question "why do I deserve this change?" It's interesting. I saved this video because I don't have my journal with me. Also, my inner perfectionist (and procrastinator) thinks "oh, well, I need to find the perfect moment of the day to write."

1:29 *empty your head* brain dump. Your head is a computer and not a storage cabinet
2:19 *write down your goals from the start of the year*
3:11 *write down what you actually did in the fist half of the year*
4:11 *assess why you hit some goals and not others*
4:38 *write down your ideal second half of the year and WHY you want it*
5:22 *hierarchy of goals*
5:49 *who would you have to be to accomplish these goals*
6:40 *create a system where you can realistically hit these goals*
》(either create routines or break the goal into smaller chunks and turn them into habits)
》make the systems for when you're not at your best
7:55 *how do you stick to the plan when things get tough?*
8:48 *why do you deserve this improvement?*
9:17 *take the 1st step right now*

I just got half a panic attack when you said the year is halfway done. It was january yesterday. 😭

Also, "the pain of NOT doing it > pain of doing it" hit me in the gut. From over a year I've been telling myself it's time to share my art with everyone, kept stalling it. I promised two days ago that I would do it starting 1st June but it's 22:00 and I chickened out. Then I see this video. 😂

You are the humanliest human i have seen on internet. I don't know how to explain it but that is a really good thing.

The point about making your systems for you-on-a-hard-day is such a good idea, it seems so obvious that that would have a better chance of sticking! I'm going to try that instead of creating systems for superhuman-me. Great video as always!

What I appreciate so much about your videos is your acknowledgement that there is not just one way to do things, and that failure is normal. I have OCD and ADHD and I struggle a lot with fatigue and time management, so I often find that advice from neurotypical coaches etc. can be counter-productive or just end up making me feel discouraged. I love that you provide so many useful tips and strategies while reinforcing that life is unpredictable and that different people respond to different things. :)

I really appreciate how much you de-dramaticize failure or the anxiety that comes with not connecting to a particular method. Yeah, it's all good, it's not a big deal, this is all figureoutable, we're not doomed. Definitely helpful to hear that attitude and encouragement from someone else!

You've only made 10 videos, but it's always quality content whenever you put something out

I just rediscovered my old journals from the past 20 years. It's amazing how I've been dealing with the same struggles for that long. But I could see there were times I was making progress and how journaling was a big part of it. I am inspired to keep journaling for the next 20 years.

'Make the systems for when you are at your weakest not at your strongest'

That is such realistic and understanding foresight.

I'm amazed by how timely your videos always are with my current life. But I think it goes to show how we're all more similar than we think; despite living in different countries, with different lifestyles...we all have stories we can relate with, stories we can empathize with, and I think it's through these stories that we feel less alone and more hopeful that we can overcome them.

So thank you Struthless for making me feel less alone, for making me feel empowered, and for giving me so much practical tips and wisdom through your videos (I've been super grateful how frequent they are too!)

We're all just strangers on the internet (and you often refer to yourself as "that bald guy on the internet"), but at this point, we're all more than that. I think we've built a community of awkward, brave, kind, and whole-hearted people (you can tell I'm a Brené Brown fan HAHA)! Congrats on being 6 months sober too <3

I don't think my life has ever been "on track" with what I wanted it to be or thought it would be. I have a lot I'm still working on this year, and I'm happy where I am even though it's not the path I thought I'd be on when I used to think about the future.
Great video and lots of food for thought

'First step usually isn't more self-improvement content'- lol, called out. But it feels so good to binge your content!

It took me a few days to to the whole thing, because I get emotionally drained when untangling myself, but I did it!! And I feel satisfied. Thank you for making this booklet and video
