Don’t go telling your kid they’re entitled or go hurting their feelings until you have their full story or reasoning behind their behavior. And tell them how you feel aswell. There's this girl who is 17 like me. The other day she said I'm "disrespectful" for "talking back" when I cracked a non offencive joke when she dissed a friend of mine. Is that considered entitled? And how do I react when she says stuff like that, acting like she's older when it's only about 4 months older. I'm definitely mentally older and I physically look older too. So she's very wrong

Here is one sign of an entitled parent:
Not taking the time to talk to your teenager like a human about these "issues".

Gee, its almost like your teenager speaks the same language you do and simply forming a trusting relationship with them can help them open up as to why they feel the need to act out in these ways.

The reason they feel "entitled" is because you raised them to think its okay to act like that. You can't just switch it up one night and expect them to not say "its not fair!".

Im an adult, preschool teacher in the past, and I have nephews that are teenagers. I may not have any children myself but I've taken care of them since i can remember and i have to say, this video is wrong.
