There’s a whole Broadway song about this!! “Schadenfreude”.

Everyone experiences it to a degree.

I’ve honestly learned so much from watching your videos. I love how transparent and straightforward you are. It’s refreshing. I consider myself “neurotypical” and have always been uncomfortable with my “dark side.” I’m not sure what verbiage to use, but I wish this “dark” part of our selves could be more normalized because let’s be real, it’s in every one of us.

Whenever someone has wronged me something bad ends up happening to them (death, job loss, money loss, health problems) and usually it's catastrophically life changing. It always feels like the scales are even. And I never do anything to these people it happens on it's own.

This girl disturbed me at first.... Until I shut up and listened.

Being a sadist also involves seeing people you love in pain especially pain you cause so I would say you’re not. Most people find humor in others getting mildly hurt and feel a form of satisfaction in people they dislike struggling or hurt.

I'm not sure if I love how much I fear her or fear how much I love her 🤔

Me to! I also weirdly get joy seeing others I highly dislike in pain. 🤭

Your honesty gives permission for others to acknowledge their own truth. I think many are afraid to admit they have a part which is spiteful or enjoys witnessing others fall in some way that they dislike/ have a grudge on. This IMO is the part of us which holds unresolved pain 'misery enjoys company'. My continued goal in life is to integrate all of my parts, so I do my best not to hide from them or deny that they are there. The path to true power is finding a neutral balance between our polarities.

I do agree with enjoying people I dislike in pain

I hate the fact that if I don’t like you I still give a damn if you are hurting. I don’t know why I’m like this but I have been this way for as long as I can remember.

i'm not neurotypical, but i'm an autistic person who fluctuates between hyperempathetic and apathetic. i enjoy seeing people i think deserve pain in pain, but nobody else. i think it's normal to feel that way when someone has done you wrong, or you just hate them.

I LOOOOVE Seeing people I hate in pain or sufferring. I am too worried about getting into trouble to directly cause the pain myself. I feel nothing when strangers trip or get bitten.

Of someone I have reason to hate or strongly dislike feels pain, it would make me happy. Especially when it's an issue caused by their own actions /choices.

Oh most definitely, I will laugh hysterically if someone I do not care for gets hurt. It makes my day much better.

I only get a bit of joy when someone who tried to mess with me in any way gets hurt or gets what they deserve but never ever do I like seeing a random person suffer or get mistreated.

I used to have a lot more vengeful/spiteful nature until I started working on healing my own childhood trauma and now I really don’t enjoy seeing anybody or anything hurt

For me if I see some random person I don't know get hurt, it bothers me. But to me, if it's someone who has wronged me in the worst way, nothing makes me feel better than imagining them suffering the worst possible scenario. Not sure where I would fall on that spectrum.

If I know the person is okay, I do tend to laugh when people hurt themselves. Especially if it's because of something stupid they did.
