I've been there before and today i share with you all the mistakes small youtubers make that they need be weary of so they can avoid them at all cost. Often times a lot of us learn from our mistakes the hard way but today, you just got lucky.

I am not a youtuber but I enjoying watching youtube videos. One of the biggest mistakes that I see is lack of authenticity. As an observer I can tell right away, youtubers who are authentic vs those who are faking and copying others ideas. I tend to gravitate towards those who are truly passionate about creating good content because it shows through their work.

On topics: It's a good idea to first use a tool such as Tubebuddy to see if people are searching for your topic ideas, to see how many people are looking for them, and to see how much competition there might be for them.

Google Trends allows you to research what your topics' search volume might look like over long periods of time. The latter information allows you to figure out what topics will get you views only in a short period or forever.

Lastly, it also helps to connect your topic to a topic that's commercial or more commercial than your own. For example, a Youtuber once made a video around the time Taylor Swift purchased a multi-million dollar insurance policy for her legs. In the video, he seamlessly integrated the topic of climate change with Taylor Swift's legs. That video got millions of views.

My top 3 pet-peeves of Tubers in order of bad to worst.
1. Headline lies...trying to appear
ambiguous but bait & switch
by telling outright lies.
2. Talking over each other ... in
a group discussion, people
getting so amped, they start to
cancel each other.
3. Echo-like sounds....prolong
talking in a bathroom or
semi-furnished room causing
an empty-like sound.
