Comming up i posted barebone content. This was before retention was pushed. Never read my analytics just uploaded genuine content until clickbaiting became the trend. I click bated a game called pixel gun and grew it grew my channel over 100k but then youtubes algorithm changed. Watch time became important. And I continue to barebone it. All these mistakes this guy has said is literally the reason my channel died. But now as of February 2023 i have started planing out videos, working on better quality thumbnails. I spent so much time editing and im using my community to track my progress as my voice to not give up even if youre channel isnt going as planned. I look at and share my retention analytics and have been making improvements but still learning alot. Im happy that this guy eventually realized his mistakes alot of people are too stubborn to even research into stuff like that. Great video!

I can definitely say that your videos and advice helped me get my first 1, 000 subscribers in 2021. One thing is important is never stray from your niche too much. I did that somewhat over the past year but I always try to make sure that stray content keeps a nostalgic vibe for my niche which is Retro Gaming. I think having 3 big games to cover on your channel and having very specific things that people are interested in within those games; will help you grow a following. It's very competitive with some games like Tekken 8 for example on my channel. I just try to remember to not focus on the views as much and to remember to have fun making content as this is just a hobby for me. I wish everyone the best success in whatever they decide to create.

Amazing Video! I used Affirmations to accurately set my core beliefs about my value. They were previously set by others.
TIL 1. Affirmations are not magic commands that override programmed behavior.
2. Affirmations are screened by logic, so they must seem reasonable to our subconscious.
3. Confidence is the feedback from being competent.
4. Fake confidence = Hope, while ignoring reality.
5. Confidence should be compartmentalized to avoid a weak area hurting a strong area.

I'm steadily slowly growing towards 2k subs. I wonder whether growing will become easier over time. I've found myself a bunch of affectionate followers and that makes me so happy but there's still so much I want to experiment rather than stick only to certain types of videos that make more views. Problem I had had in my little time so far is getting that community. I have had views for my size a few hundred on a lot and now a video over a K but not a lot in comments or community growing not sure how I would change that
