I did extremely low carb & high intensity exercise with late or no breakfast after having my first child…. lost my cycle, all my hair started falling out, I lost a bunch of muscle, was CONSTANTLY stressed, and started to feel afraid of most food. It turned into a nightmare but I honestly thought I had unlocked the secret to health. Man oh man.

I LOVED this video!!! It was informative and spot on!! Thank you for taking a load off. I often leave overwhelmed ans stressed every time I try to weed through the conflicting health conscious material in order to attempt to make the healthiest choice for MY body's health. Over the years of sifting through information and overcoming different health challenges, I have deduced that our bodies are uber complicated and not one size fits all. Thanks again! And I vote YES to doing a video on debunking myths!

Fasting crashed my hormones and metabolism. Pro-metabolic eating got me off thyroid and progesterone, and brought joy to my life through food freedom, metabolism healing and feeling more like me again!!

Thank you so much for addressing this. Some people are very protective of their “diets”. I felt sooo awful on keto and I knew with how hangry I get, intermittent fasting was never for me!

Studies always make me chuckle. You are right; they almost always have limited participant diversity. Great video, Molly.

I got off the SAD diet in 2016 and started a mostly Whole Foods diet. I did grass fed beef and goat milk but still ate conventional poultry, farmed fish, ate out a lot and ate conventional cows dairy when already in a product or cheese. My periods were about 31-35 days and some mo had extreme pain and other months almost no pain, breast were barely sore only on the bad months. Over time my pcos and endometriosis got very severe so it pushed me into Whole Foods Plant Based Veganism. At first the pain reduced a lot and I thought it would be great but within the first month it pushed my cycle from 31-35 days to 52 days almost consistently so and I no longer had cervical mucus orotund ovulation. At 52 days most online sources tell you your not even ovulating. When my period did come I ALWAYS had tender breasts and Always bad cramps (although not as bad as the worse of the worse when I ate animal products) just became consistent in the bad, no good months. But my acne did clear. It’s been very confusing for me that some things got better on vegan and other things got worse. My obgyn told me to go vegan when I didn’t want the pill and my functional doc said vegans are the sickest ppl he sees. We did a sensitivities test and I’m very sensitive to beef and cows milk so maybe that’s why before vegan I got so bad. And when I went vegan I didn’t eat some of my sensitivities by default and took some stress off my body.He suggested a Wholefoods diet but def no conventional animal products all must be organic pasture raised. So that’s led me to prometabolic and I’ve been trying it for three weeks. I had soooo much more energy and happy mood the first two weeks! But now week three I’m in my pms days and still sore breast and pre period cramps. I know nothing is automatic but I almost fear things will get worse. The vegan world is very convincing it can heal pcos and endo but I gave it two years… by the way I knew something was wrong w vegan when I would dip my feet in all these meat alternatives and soy products. I didn’t do it often and they taste good but eating vegan actually made me eat more processed. One time I got a cold and my mother in law brought me homemade chicken broth w “no chicken” lol she thought that meant it was vegan. I ate it anyways cuz I was vegan for health and not too strict (had fish on occasion) and it was the most soothing comforting thing I had eaten and I craved more. Now bone broth is my go to. It actually relaxes me better than any tea could.

Thank you Mollie, my relationship with food has been so fear based as always worried I am doing something wrong. I would love some more on the often, sometimes, rarely. I found the so much more powerful than labeling good and bad like so many headlines do!

Intermittent fasting is bad for women. What about them you are sick and you can not keep food in? How does that affect the body?
