In this video we will explore the history of IQ tests and question their validity, starting with the creation of the first IQ test by Alfred Binet and how it was misused by Lewis Terman.
We will then discuss the Flynn effect and how our education system may be biased towards IQ test skills. Finally, it will use the story of Arthur Conan Doyle & Thomas Edison to show the limitations of intelligence and how feelings & emotions affect our decisions.

True, intelligence is more than finding solutions to problems, analyzing complex issues and simplifying them to get an answer which may prove to be the answer to a longing question or simply a solution to an equation. Intelligence is about BEING ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND CONTEMPLATE, IT IS ABOUT INNOVATION AND EXISTENCE, intelligence is in reality present in all. The types of intelligence that you mentioned about are nothing but the different aspects of this contemplation, comprehension and, not literally but rather in a way of being, creativity.

BTW Good content man, appreciate people trying to spread knowledge. Always brightens up my mood to find something that provides something useful on this social platform. Hope to see your channel grow. Also Subscribed! :)

From personal experience that thing u said abt justifying emotions using intellectual abilities is what is commonly known as cognitive empathy. And many people who are highly intellectual and/or socially awkward have it. We don’t deal with our emotions in the “normal” way, instead we observe various situations closely and then when we come across a similar scenario, we are more likely to do what we saw other people doing, emotion wise, trying to create a scene in which how we feel gets reflected the best with a logical justification . Now it’s not like we don’t have emotions or we’re numb, it’s just that we try to replace the emotional reasoning with logical reasoning due to underdeveloped emotion handeling skills. And that’s just my opinion from what I’ve self introspected, please don’t come at me, sorry if this offends someone(wasn’t my intention)

guess intelligent people are more prone to emotions!

I guess it’s arrogance more than intelligence that leads people to act stupid

actually believing in fairies is not some kind of knowledge or logical reasoning but just believing itself. Maybe he just believed in fairies too

Gardner's theory is foolish. He doesn't make these different intelligences measurable or predictive of outcome.

If you think that there are valuable forms of intelligence outside of math and language, separate out all of them, measure them, and see what happens to both the highest scorers, and the test.

Outside the math and language, you can expect the other "intelligences" to be ignored by scholars and talent scouts, and you can expect zero correlation in life outcome with scores.

I can claim that the Star Wars force is real, but it means nothing if I don't bring evidence.
