Are you tired of always trying to impress others with your intelligence? In this video, we explore the benefits of playing dumb and why it can sometimes be more advantageous to appear less intelligent than you are. Drawing on classic philosophy and psychology, we delve into why being a fool or being perceived as stupid is often better for success. We'll reveal why people often seek out companionship with those they perceive as less intelligent, how foolishness can be used as a lethal weapon in debates, and how being a little bit dumb can increase your quality of life

No need to play dumb: just listen and observe what’s unfolding without announcing everything. There’s always somebody smarter than us all - people we can learn from

This can be a very effective tactic. Your ability to control how others perceive you is a superpower.

Where appearing dumb can backfire is you will be forced into another person’s agenda, which for sure strips you of your autonomy and that friends is actual hell.

I feel at home with myself seeing this! Someone told me to stop acting dumb. Sorry. I am only being natural.

I've been trying to be dumber. I have a 147 IQ and a masters degree.

Mostly, I've been using drugs to try to permanently shave off some IQ points. It's very depressing having a high IQ and being able to unwind, everything quicker than others. Noticing patterns is the absolute worst when other people don't.

Most of the people I know are pretty dumb or at least act like it.

There's only one thing I disagree on: really intelligent people can't play dumb.
They just can't.
It's like altering my voice. I can't, my voice is my voice. In the moment I start to speak, people who know me recognize my voice.
When you are intelligent and you speak, you just can't hide your intelligence, it's the only one you have.
Imagine Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Take Mozart and ask him: Mozart, can you play piano like a beginner who is struggling to learn ?
He could hit some random keys, sure, but he'll never be able to sound like a true beginner.
Or he may fake it, but after one minute he'd be so frustrated and angry he would probably unleash the most beautiful music out of his chest.
You think you can hide your intelligence ? Think twice.
