Age 29, slightly overweight developed anxiety and panic disorder. Cholesterol at 213 and BP 140 at my doc’s office. I have been mostly sitting for the past 6 years as I have an office job. I committed to walk 30-60 minutes daily, this is a wake up call. Will update in 6 weeks

It's too bad more physicians won't prescribe walking instead of pills

I Walk 2 times a day, one hour each time, fasted stage in morning and after dinner, for decades and I walk fast 15 minutes one mile. I also fast 18 - 20 hours daily combine with low carb diet and high protein. I feel great, energetic, perfect sleeping every night I don't take any medicine and in perfect health. Everything is good, except my arthritis flare up sometimes out of nowhere. I blame on the high protein intake in my diet. When I was on vegetarian, it's stopped for a long time. Because of my age at 70 I started to consume more fat and protein ( the good and lean ) to preserve and supply my muscles nutrition, that's when arthritis hit. I noticed the reoccurrence many time with high protein intake.

Dr. Z I love that you did this. I have been walking at least 30 min. a day since 2018. I started to watch your youtube channel to learn how to IF. I began IF and walking 3 to 8 miles daily and lost 40 lbs. My a1c went from 7.9 to 5.2 and all my bloodwork was close to or normal range. I love fasting and it is the only thing that I have ever done that worked exactly the way it was supposed to work if I did what I was supposed to do. I loved it!! I listened to everything you said and it all worked just like you said it would. Wel...Then I started to go through menopause as well hitting one of the biggest crises of my life. The stress and lack of Hormones have defiantly challenged me. I stopped losing and actually gained 15 lbs. I go back and forth with those 15 lbs. all the time it seems. I still have 50 lbs that I want to shed but I am struggling to just get rid of the 15 lbs I gained. As you stated in your video stress is a major bump in the road!! With my stress levels at the time and my hormones all jacked up, my efforts were not what they had been and I get that. I am back on track and I am doing the 30-minute brisk, heartrate-up walk daily and starting back at the gym to do strength training. I do OMAD at least 4 out 7 days a week. I could and would do it every day but I trying to keep things mixed up as you suggest. Thanks for the straight talk and the no-nonsense approach to better health. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Family Dr.Z. Kim Trivits :)

Excellent video, very encouraging! thank you for always sharing truth from your vast wealth of information and research! I have been walking for many years but it's always good to refresh myself on the methods as well as the benefits many of which I did not know until now. Thank you especially for explaining how some of our daily 10k steps aren't even considered exercise 😏 and that 5, 000 steps should be at a fast pace.🏃 I needed to hear this. I've been trying to do intervals more.
Walking has literally been my emotional survival tool the past 3 years. God bless you, please keep sharing! 🙏❤️

For 15 minutes fast walking you can make one mile. To achieve 10 thousands steps it will take around 1 hour 20 minutes fast walking

Question ⁉️ If you are getting your steps in at the gym on the treadmill should be be at an incline? What speed should it be for a brisk walk?

My doctor told me that it’s great that I’m walking 8k steps at work, but he suggested that I should do it when I’m not working.
