Excellent video. Thank you.

However it didn't resolve the issue I had, but it did eliminate a possible problem and led me to further investigate what the problem might be, which ultimately led to a solution that fixed the problem for me. So here's how I fixed the issue.

This specifically applies to CITIES: SKYLINES....

Skylines started crashing literally every couple of minutes. As mentioned the fix in the video didn't help. As I believed the issue to be with my current save of the city I'm building I loaded up a previous save to see if the game would crash as it had been. It didn't! This clearly indicated that the issue was specific to the save, the current state of the city. As I play a little different from most; I've been playing the same city for years, constantly rebuilding areas of the city I'm unsatisfied with, along with massively altering the landscape. I've never had an issue with the game until the constant crashes. A normal player would probably easily identify the area in the map/city they had recently worked on but for me there were several areas that might have caused the problem. But I had a suspicion on an area which might have the issue and started there. Here's the fix I employed.

1. I identified an area I would start to work on.
2. I created a new save specifically for undoing/destroying, removing all the assets in that area to see if I could pinpoint exactly where the problem was.
3. With the new save I deleted everything within that area; and sure enough the game didn't crash! So I now knew that there was something within this area that was causing the constant crashes.
4. I reloaded the duplicate save, and split the area I knew to have a problem into sections (six I think it was) and deleted everything within each area. Eventually the last (isn't it always!) section was cleared out of assets and the game stopped crashing. I split that area up until I was able to pinpoint with 20 or so assets that were the route of the issue.
5. Then I returned to my original save (I made a duplicate simply for safety, as if I'd accidentally saved the game I wouldn't have ruined my original save). I deleted the problem area and the game has run for, I would guess, maybe six or seven hours and hasn't crashed at all.

I know this is a very specific problem to one game, and perhaps one genre, but hopefully this will prove useful to someone.

Incidentally the issue specific to my city was the metro line (and a station) that went under a river connecting to a second station. The river was quite deep and the stations too close to the river, which meant I'd done something unusual for a metro line, and completely unrealistic and had the train line snake around in order to lower it enough to get under the river. In making changes to both the river, and the area around one of the stations had somehow caused a game-breaking error to occur. I had read prior to finding this video on a forum a player suggesting that they'd read of an issue with farms, part of the Industries DLC. I don't think this is correct at all, as many players, including myself have extensive farms using all the assets and have not had an issue. I suspect their problem was identical to mine in that they had simply made alterations to their city which had upset the game and turned otherwise perfectly working assets into a game crashing one.

If this video doesn't resolve the issue for you, don't be a c*** and suggest this video is worthless. It's not. Rebuilding Databases is a thing on all computer systems and can resolve issues. If it doesn't fix your specific issue then that simply means that rebuilding the desktop wasn't the solution you needed, and as I pointed out above, has at least eliminated one possible issue and fix.

Finally. An important and worthwhile safety measure everyone should employ with any computer-related file they are working on/adjusting/playing, whatever. Always keep a duplicate. Assume and prepare for the worst at any point. With a game I would at least suggest alternating between two saves, so if something goes wrong with your current save/file, you have yesterday's/last week's, or the last session's save to go back to in case of emergency.

I am playing Skyrim and this decided to pop up.. 😭 now I'm playing W2k20 for the first time and this issue appeared again. Does this solution needs to be performed everytime a game experiences this issue?

Its a hardware problem, in the console memory ram.
The only way to fix, is change the broken ram module.

He encontrado una solución temporal, solo inicializa tú ps4 y déjala apagada por 2 horas aproximadamente, después inicias y con eso estarás solucionando el error (aunque es temporal)
