2:15 *Nope, elasticity is a property of your tendons, not muscles.* Your muscles only contract or lengthen, it's your tendons that store elastic energy and release it in a jump.

Training and diet actually goes hand in hand. If you think of plyometrics being a crucial part in training your jump, it's like protein, required, but you don't have to glaze it more than it already is. It's good but people often sleep on strength training, which is like carbs that fuel your body.

Think of it this way: Strength training build your physical foundation while Plyometrics teach your body how to use those engines in your body to fire at a precise angle (jump, sprint, etc.).

So please, don't spread misinformation, muscles have little to no elasticity at all, that is the property of tendons. The only way muscles are perceived to be elastic is because it contracts and pull on your tendons in a jump, so the force generated by your muscles going against a resistance will transfer into your tendons, and after loading up with elastic energy, your tendons will release those energy in form of a spring, or like a rubber band as the analogy you used in the video.
